Removing ENG from 187th and adding PLT

Suggestion:I think that since we are a Paratrooper battalion we should get pilots. Pilots are engineer trained and know everything about them, its just not their main role. Removing ENG and introducing PLT's would be a no brainier. But I think that they should be added with the repair tool. This as well makes total sense, they know how to use it and now everything about their ships. They could do more with the repair tool than ENG's could as far as rp goes. 

Implementation: This change would give a PARAtrooper battalion their pilots but keep the repairtool as they know how to use it and know more about the ships than an ENG does.

Lore:I dont think I have to do into much detail here. Almost every battalion has ENG and PLT. They are the backbone of how each vehicle works and functions. They are so important.

If you are asking to add or change a job, fill out the following

Add or Change:Remove ENG role in the F4 menu and add PLT with model with dc-17 instead of shotgun.
(Any job modification requires all this information)

Job:Pilot

Slots: 12, as that is how many are in active squadron on the roster

Description: A pilot that is highly trained in QRF and para drop scenarios. That have a great understanding of their ships and can repair them quickly.

Model: Joah paid to get the 187th model pack, i highly doubt they he didnt get a PLT model for a paratrooper battalion.
(Provide the model string if on server Ex. models/player/synergy/cblake/ls_squad/ls_trp/lstrp.mdl (Get this from the Q menu)

Weapons:  Normal weapons but remove the Republic Shotgun from the class and add in a DC-17                                                                                                                                                                                                                           (If you want a modfication to a weapon/saber you must put the weapon string in the suggestion. Ex. tfa_e5 (Get this from the Q menu) 

Other: Basicly all that needs to be done to the server is add a new model, change that name, and add dc-17 while removing the shotgun.

ALSO: This is heavily supported in the Battalion. With all who know about it saying it should be done.(Sugga,Wolfro-ENGO)

This is a -1 from me. I don't think that 187th needs a pilot regiment. They're a paratrooper battalion that means they're proficient at jumping out of laats not flying them. If 187th gets a pilot regiment then theres no use for like the 501st or other battalions that are specifically made for a pilot role.

I approved this idea to all of those who are wonder
+1 I believe a pilot role would help us better than a engineer role as we are suppose to fly laats so we can jump out of and most of the time on the base we are QRF.

+1. With the Pilot Rework, Engineering Training became a Requirement to become a Pilot anyways. So you would still have the same skill set.

There already was a model created for the Synergy Pack. It is unused, but available on the Server already.

I can easily agree, with how Pilot-Reliant the 187th seem to be (from an outsiders perspective alone), that a Pilot Job would not be that bad of an idea. Also boosts the number of people available for Top Priority who should (hopefully) know what they're doing.

It can be done quite simply through requirements to join a class instead of adding another, take this from someone whos battalion does not have an engineer class, pilot class and i waiting on an ARF job.

This could literally save from making a PLT model or adding one

speaking from someone who has been in a battalion that has had issues filling subunits. I think the idea of merging ENG and PLT would be good. Even if PLT are only bENG. +1 to adding PLTs and removing ENG

-1 I understand what you're saying and I do think it fits within the 187th.  However, I think the change for the server is currently unnecessary, for example like many other battalions, they have pilot trained personnel and can request an LAAT.  I think that currently suits the 187th more than having an entire class replaced.
