How to manage map changes (Base/Ship)

Suggestion: So many of our community members love both the base and the ship map. Now I do agree with the majority that the ship cannot be used for extended periods of time as it can get boring and limited but what if we made the ship map actual lore. Now every now and again we do huge deployment events that include most if not all battalions. What if these deployments where hyped up and made aware through travelling.

How would this work? We would stay on base for two weeks or so and then we would announce that we are launching an attack on a CIS base located on Geonosis. We would then board a large ship and stay on that ship map for 1-2 days while me "Travel" to the deployment system. This would make a lot more sense for deployments and general attacks. The ship is great for training and we could use that 1-2 day period as a warning for all battalions to get their shit together and get their men ready! 

The same applies to a system with the base being evacuated. Defcon 1. We board a ship, report the status of the base and travel to a secondary outpost. We travel for a day, arrive at the old base stay their for a little while the base is recovered or repaired and then we travel back and return to the main base.

This is just a general idea of how this system will work. Tell me what you think. Give +1's or -1's and ways to adapt this idea. Enjoy 'Shield' Signing out.

Implementation: Basic map changes, have a sign updated daily in the spawn room saying what map we are on, the time we are here for and the estimated time of arrival to set destination.

Lore: I mean its just a more realistic way of dealing with deployments and evacuations.

I actually like this idea better and we can integrate the Game Master system by having the Game Master Chief and Officers run a large planetary siege, we can have written out reports on how the battle went, proper plans and make it a large 2+ hour event with all battalions being involved in an epic scale deployment!

+1 let’s use Endor more it’s not that bad of a map gives everyone what they want

This is a fucking amazing idea. +1
To go on more about this we can use extensive or any other venator map for that small time being. Even though those maps arent as optimized they are really great maps and if were on the ship for a small amount of time it probably wouldnt hurt to use it. It would also explain why our ship inparticular is being attacked so much that they're trying to prevent us from getting there,

Literally good ass idea If they do this it would be hopefully mad good.

I've suggested this to GM's for some time a change in scenery is good and it will set us apart from other CW communities that can't be bothered with long term story telling.
