Why should you become a Battalion Commander?:

KEEP IN MIND WHILE READING: I'm not quite good at writing, never was, but that shouldn't be what you focus on.

With the recent wipes to SOBDE, it needs to be rebuilt from the ground up with people that are passionate for the idea

and the concepts that they stand for. I personally love the idea of RC and the concept of having generalized experts with even more expertise in specializations to

support any kind of roleplay and endeavour attempted in any set scenario. Although my biggest love for RC has to come in the form of Omega squad, having spent so much

time with the squad during my time in RC and as an Omega squad jedi on Icefuse. I have a passion for the squad. I want to see it do well, and work well with the other

squads, see the whole of SOBDE as a family to work together, just as I know it can. I would do anything within my power to see to this goal.

 

Do you understand the lore of your battalion or squad?: Absolutely. Big 'ol family of broken families. Love 'em.

Niner (RC-1309) - Former squad sergeant of Lambda, only survivor of the first battle of Geonosis, because of the general improper use of special forces squads as

general ground forces.

Darman (RC-1136) - Omega's demolitions expert, formerly a part of Theta squad, and fell in love and even married Jedi Etain Tur-Mukan despite the complications that

would cause.

Atin (RC-3222) - Trained by Walon Vau unlike the rest of the squad (unless you include Corr, who isn't on the server), formerly a member of Prudii squad, served as

Omega's techie, and ended up marrying a Twi'lek waitress

Fi (RC-8015) - Omega's medic and marksman, and formerly a member of Teroch squad, possessed a good sense of humor and overal positive outlook, eventually suffered a

case of brain damage later in the war, which he never really fully recovered from.

 

Availability: Every day, although my times can be a bit strange, due to a messed up sleep schedule. Generally available from 3PM EST to 1AM EST if I can help it, but

sometimes it ends up being 7PM to 2AM. Either way, I'm generally available through discord and steam if anyone were to need anything.

 

Estimate of how long you've played on Synergy Roleplay?: Unsure specifically, but sometime mid-2018, so 6 months, maybe? Although I do have over 2 years total Clone Wars RP experience.

Where do you want your battalion or squad to be at the end of your term?: I want Omega to be a functional, active squad, serving it's position and duties well, as well

as supporting it's attached battalion 91st to the best of it's capabilities... but more than that, I want to try and support SOBDE as a whole to being the family and

'battalion' it really should be.

 

Do you understand that if you go inactive that you will be removed from your position?: Absolutely.

 

Do you understand that your position has a three month term limit and you must reapply after three months to maintain your commander rank?: Yes, I do.

-1 I don't play the server much often, I do admit that myself. However, I do know you are relatively inactive and I wouldn't trust you rebuilding a squad based on previous interactions.

To address the statements of inactivity, I do understand my hours are low, although I am usually on a bit later at night.
I mostly have been in a bit of a depressive rut, one of the reasons I put this application up is a bit of a turning point. I won't go too deep into anything about disorders or anything, because I'm not trying to make excuses, you are correct that I have been inactive.

I'm not going to void this app, and will take whatever complaints I get, but I am working to increase activity as this goes along, and hope that you all can try to reconsider.

-1 Personally, I think SOBDE apps should be on lockdown. They're currently still speaking about the act with Joah. Other than that, the reasons stated above.

I'm going to choose to void this, not for the -1s, but I personally agree with the statements of Faded and Useless. If discussions are still potentially happening to the state of SOBDE, I don't want to bog down their judgement with applicants trying to go for spots. Decisions must be tough already considering how ingrained the procedures and interactions of SOBDE are into everything, and I respect and care for Heart and the other directors way too much to want to put extra stress on that.

I respect the opinions of people stated here, and I do love the touch of John Travolta confused af, been a long time since I've seen that gif. I hope to reapply in the future when they have a plan for SOBDE, but I will definitely work on my hours until then.

At this point the discussion on the state of SOBDE have be finalised and the decision has been made for who stays and who goes.

If you are planning on keeping this application up,

-1 due to my Timezone I do see you on the server pretty much daily. Your activity during prime time is not the best and definitety needs to improve, as the RC squads are quite exclusive and if you were to be a squad lead you would need to be around!

I believe you are more than capable maturity and experience wise. Sorry bud!
