  1. -1 This addon seems to be getting some bugs reported, and with how new it is I think it would be wise to wait a bit for them to get ironed out / discovered before adding it to Synergy. Although that would of course be a part of the Suggestion process by the developer team, I think also that this tool would add an extra level of confusion to people who are new to GMing. Also, I don't think this tool necessarily saves that much time versus just clicking on the tool in Q menu, especially when using tools that have any configuration needed in the Q menu. GMs can also bind tools to a button on their keyboard too for more used ones. Select tool you want and enter this into console: gmod_toolmode It will print out the name of the tool. Create a bind to that tool: bind key "gmod_toolmode toolname" This would be a bit more work in initial setup and need some more keys than using the menu you suggested though.
  2. -1 I would like some change with how the rotation is implemented, but I don't think this is it. I would prefer Venator Extensive or another version of Venator. It is nice to have some other map to go to for a decent length of time, as it allows for some unique events if people spend enough time to build a nice dupe. As others have said, I do think the potential of Venator is being underused, due to it having so much space for things to happen, and it is also nice for people to be more clumped up, as you can actually interact with people more.
  3. Is there any evidence of people specifically abusing the test? Would switching to actual staff interaction being required actually prevent that kind of person?
  4. Question: Why was the suggestion to unrestrict the arrow sign denied? Comments/Concerns: Curious why it was denied. Staff Member you're asking: @Jad Additional info: N/A
  5. I like this idea as it would encourage players to go to the messhall more, and would also give another purpose to that room.
  6. +1 with ARF getting these, so should Naval. Would add more RP between normal clones and naval.
  7. Name: Shrimp | Keegan RP Rank: 501st 1LT & 21st Padawan Suggestion: /imp_urban/arrow_sign.mdl is in [SR] CW: Prop Pack 2 and is classified as an Effect within GMOD. It is currently restricted so SAs (and I assume upwards) are unable to spawn it on the event server. I wish for it to be allowed for usage by SA+. Image of the sign for context. Purpose: This sign can be used to help guide people in events and deployments. For deployments, many of the maps used can be quite large and confusing for players to understand directions given over advert by the gamemaster on where to go or where the objectives are. Having a simple-to-use sign would greatly resolve this issue and make it so on more complex maps that players can follow a set of signs at key junctions if the gamemaster has a set story for the event that players would walk through. For example, map gm_fork has long, winding roads with many different paths to take, which could make it extremely hard for a GM to prepare and keep up with them if the players all take different routes instead of sticking to a main route that has signs guiding them to stay on it. Reasoning: This sign should be usable as it offers several benefits and conveniences. Currently there are a few alternatives to using a sign like this: Using a textscreen with "---->" as the text in it (this looks bad and can be missed if players aren't looking closely for it). Using a directional arrow made from props (This takes multiple props towards your prop limit and can't be easily maneuvered or placed on the fly). Placing big colored cubes over the objective (This breaks immersion much more and can get in the way of any ships flying around). The sign I suggest for usage is a single thing to be spawned, and as such can be easily maneuvered and rotated to face any 3D direction. This is much simpler than the alternatives and is likely less taxing on the server (although I do not know this for sure). It can even be placed flat on the ground to point somewhere instead of floating in the air. As it is an effect, it has no collision as well! I have spoken to several people who have thought this would be a helpful prop to use to guide people in events where otherwise players would be all over the place. Implementation: Allow SA+ can spawn it and use it in dupes on main and event server. Workshop content if applicable: N/A (Wouldn't need a change to server addons as I believe this is done outside of that) Model: /imp_urban/arrow_sign.mdl Other: Sign can be colored with toolgun. You can then say "212th follows the orange signs and 501st follows the red ones" for deployments! The green circle is where you grab it with physgun.
  8. Context for ban with screenshots of what happened. If you go to that website "lmaobox.net" (visit at your own risk), it is still live and actively being updated (last update Feb 13th, 2022) you actually see links to download and purchase this software which could even be malware at this point in time. -1 Think before you send things in chat. This is not to mention that you have been toxic in OOC and TS chat for a very long time, insulting people for little reason and continuing after it's no longer jokes. You have insulted Head Admins and have received PT for it, and got a strike in 501st for insulting people after being told to stop. Clearly sending this in chat is an extension of the same behavior as before. You even had this to say when you got banned: <11:02:51> Maynard: i regret nothing @Maddoxx was justified in banning you.
  9. +1 Would be really cool for helping ARF troopers have some passiveRP to do with TechRP, and boost the occurrence of TechRP overall on the server. Would help ARF a lot in terms of things to do in non-combat scenarios!
  10. Even if this item doesn’t detect cloaked enemies, I do think it would fit better with SOBDE/SO as you said than ARF, and this is coming from an ARFL.
  11. +1 money is good

    Nightvision

Furthermore, I can see some potential issues with clipping through the helmet and such, as well as this not matching the looks of any other equipment in-game. It would just look silly.
