When Max was the Admiral back on Icefuse, his rank was equal to Battalion Commander for the longest time and he ran Naval extremely well. They were active, immersive, and all excellent leaders. Naval was something to aspire to. Your place in the hierarchy has no effect on how you can or are capable of running Naval.

Zander and I will be reviewing this report. There seems to be enough feedback to point towards inactivity or possible negligence as a Squad Leader from Fido. We will investigate the situation and reach a conclusion as soon as possible.

Uh, if we're being technical, during the meeting we were referring to the Senators and Naval. Senators and Naval cannot enforce mandatory roleplay. However, your direct superiors can. For example, if you're a Major in the 91st, Neyo, the Specialized Regimental, SPEC SOB Senior, Marshal/Field Marshal, and Palpatine can order you and make you do pretty much anything (within reason). Senators and Naval cannot. Palpatine enforcing orders is the same as your Battalion Commander enforcing orders.

To prevent further flaming and infighting within this battalion, this report is being locked. The battalion has been under investigation for three days now, and will continue to be evaluated. Mamba has already been spoken to regarding the state of the battalion and is under a probationary period as he works with the battalion over the next few days - a week. //Locked

I am not going to get involved in the discussion, but I will say it is the Battalion Commander's responsibility to manage the officers of his battalion. If the battalion is failing due to the incompetency of the officers, then it is the Battalion Commander's responsibility to remove those officers. If the Battalion Commander fails to do that, then it is the Battalion Commander's fault. I am not necessarily saying that this is the case here, but blaming the officers is not a valid excuse.

I don't believe this is necessary. If there is no Battalion Commander and the highest rank in the battalion is a 2nd Lieutenant, then that 2ndLT is the Commanding Officer and therefore has full authority. There are of course a few things he couldn't do that only a Battalion Commander can do, but for most things that 2ndLT is the interim Commander of the battalion. Pushing that 2ndLT up to Commander is not necessary. If you would argue they need at least Captain+ to apply for BCMD, we can just waive the two week or rank requirement in special circumstances.
