Willyworm1 Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 Bug Type (Server:): Jedi Model bodygroupers Severity level (1-3): 1 Evidence (if you can): This one only edits hair, facial hair, and face markings This one only edits hair, hair colour, facial hair, and face This one only edits face markings and tails on head This one only edits tails on head, face and tail colour This one only edits tail, face, and a third thing that I have yet to determine (thats the skin bodygrouper) Description of the bug: Basically there is a bodygrouper missing from certain jedi models which is the robes (usually listed as skin or armor). The issue is that I know it exists for the model but only can be done with the easy bodygrouper toolgun. The general consensus that I have recieved is that it's the fault of the original modeler for not organizing it well so i'm hoping that someone experienced in modeling or scripting/coding would be able to unlock this model issue. The affected models are as follows: models/player/jedi/twilek.mdl models/player/jedi/togruta.mdl models/player/jedi/pantoran.mdl models/player/jedi/twilek2.mdl models/player/jedi/human.mdl How can we recreate it: Switch to the jedi jobs that have these models and try to change the robes Master of the Order Mace Windu (Current) | DU VET Sergeant (Current) | Mas Amedda (Former) | 327th Battalion Commander Bly (Former)

Jayarr Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 (edited) If I'm reading this correctly, which is the fact that the robes don't have skins on specific models, then I'll break it down for you; Skins are handled by a basic line of code within the models file that tells the game what its switching between, aka a texturegroup. This texture group consists of the materials that are responsible for changing the color of the facial hair color, the hair color, and anything else deemed in between. The problem with this method is that there can only be one texturegroup at a time that handles specific material changes, due to source limitations. The only work around to this is adding near 20+ skins manually that have all variations of robe and hair textures at a time. Put simply, having the option to change the hair skin overrides the ability to change the robe skin. JJ had a clever work around for this by making it so that bounty hunters can change their armor color via the player selector compared to skins, that way the skins can be left to change the hair color. So for now, there is no fix to this without either removing dynamic hair or removing dynamic robes. Edited January 7, 2022 by Jayarr 1 2

Stockings Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 I actually changed the Pantoran robes one time. It was caused by a glitch or something. I used to have the same exact Gray robes as my Human BG, but during an event I think someone either used the BG Tool Gun tool on me and it changed or someone force jobbed me to Jedi Knight and it set me to the Pantoran BG switching my robe to what it is now (Biege & Blue) Wish I could revert it to keep the Gray Robe. 1 People Who Put Their Former Ranks In Their Signature Are Idiots! Naffen Posted January 7, 2022 Forum Admin Posted January 7, 2022 You're able to change the robes using the easy bodygroup tool, but not through the C Menu bodygroups so it's probably just a small glitch not intended I added the Pepe emojis onto the forums

Finn Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Can I just ask a staff member to change my robe color then (and if so what rank can edit other people's bodygroupers?) Command Team Union Representative | Longest Serving Attack Regimental Commander Master of Quests | 212th Shadow BCMD | Retired

Yes, infact you are able to do it yourself with the easy bodygrouper tool on the tool gun, but it resets when you change jobs or disconnect. Maybe one day this won't be a problem but either way I put this up to make sure that it is documented even if it can't currently be fixed.
