Recon Regimental Commander

SBS Gaming

Coruscant Guard: PVT to Commander Fox

During the time of SBS, I joined up in the Coruscant guard. It was an extremely low populated battalion, and barely ever had tryouts, due to the lack of high ranking officers that we’re able to host them. I was stuck at SGT, attempting to do the best I can to maintain a battalion. Once I was promoted to an officer rank however, it was time for reform. We stripped out the large number of reckless and mingy players we had, and begin framing our job as an extremely serious measure.  We went from the most disliked battalion to one of the most respected, with an extremely strict set of rules and standards put in place to assure the quality of each and every one of our troops. We did our jobs and were effective at it.

I did this by first setting up a strict set of rules for every shock to abide by, and changing policies to make each trooper in the Coruscant Guard the very best they could be. These rules included a one strike removal policy, A stricter vetting process, and tryout, and establishing a stronger officer core to allow the battalion to not always need the intervention of their Commander. We also had structured riot and VIP escort training on a consistent basis.

Synergy Gaming

91st PVT to Commander:

In 91st Since 5/21/2019

I joined up with the 91st the moment I entered into Synergy, and have stuck with it ever since. I rose through the enlisted ranks rather quickly, gaining the ARFX, and shortly after the ARFL Position in the battalion. With this, I continued my predecessors revamp of the system by creating the template for advanced training, which was tested internally. It was during my tasks in this revamp that I took on the mantle of Warrant Officer Stew. It was during this term that I ramped up my combat leadership experience and took responsibility in a more serious manner. It was then I slowly began working my way up the ranks and continuing to expect more of my troopers. When I was Captain, I was given the status of Disciplinary officer, and the internal stats of AOVS, or Attack Overseer, who had control over both the ARC and the ARF branches. It was some time after this I was promoted to Commander and continued to expand the skillsets of my troopers.

Sith Initiate to Apprentice Sorcerer:

I joined the sith shortly after joining the server. I quickly made my way to an apprentice rank and transferred into the sorcerers. This was where I could fully express and begin building the RP skills that I spread onto the 91st. It was an inspiring time that really allowed for more expansive Roleplay.

Jedi Youngling to Knight Adept Shadow Manager Lead

Youngling trials came and went. Once I became a Padawan, I joined up with the shadows. During my padawan time, I continued to help out with Shadow trials consistently. After becoming a knight, I immediately registered for Shadow manager and began setting the RP tone for all Shadows. Our purpose was reignited with our numbers. We started finally having the no bull attitude the shadows were known for. It was because of this effort in RP, that I was given the position of SHML

Why should you become a Regimental Commander?:

I’ve been a member of the Recon Core for almost seven months. I have the experience to see how the battalions work in tandem with each other. This will allow me to take control and direct each battalion in a different way, with a different lens. This, along with my proficiency at taking abstract Ideas and goals, and breaking them down into practical steps, will allow me additional efficiently as the Recon Regimental Commander

Do you understand the lore of your regiment?

Where do you want your regiment to be at the end of your term?:

At present, inter battalion communication is sparse. Rarely do we see the recon battalions interacting together and making these productive shifts to make each other better.  I am to change this and make the position of Recon Regimental unnecessary in order to completely facilitate the interaction of battalions, which should be happening fluidly and on its own. The entire theme of the Position of Recon Regimental commander should be to facilitate Self-sustainability within the battalions. But this is a much longer-term goal. At the end of my term, I want to have set the seeds for Recon to be able to evolve into more of a joined community.

How do you plan to improve relations within your regiment?:

Inter Battalion Trainings

Now I am by no means the first to bring these training forward to have recon communicate, but I do wish to take a different approach to it then my predecessors. If these trainings are solely organized and facilitated by the regimental commander, then it will not encourage the autonomy of each battalion to lift each other up with training designed by them for each other. I wish to encourage Rancor, 91st, and 41st to create trainings and invite each other to them, without the constant organization or oversight of the regimental commander. This does not mean, however, a lack of said training. These large scale organized training should be a supplement to the ones that are already happening without High command oversight.

Increased Social and Tactical Interaction

Communication is often the hardest part of different battalions. The 91st, 41st, and Rancor all have a different atmosphere in their respective tactical communications. Another goal of mine is to allow all Recon Battalions to have more exposure to each other and have a manner of battle communication that would work no matter what mixed squad you may be rolling with at the time.

Standardized and Consistent Meetings

This effort has been attempted before, however, it did not tie back into the Recon regiment’s own self-sustainability. A system, as well as a constant schedule of meetings, must be set up in such a way that even with the lack of a recon regimental commander the meetings would still be able to be hosted by representatives from each battalion. These meetings would include topics like: Going over that week’s scheduled inter Battalion training, Roster updates, Blacklist updates, and other proposals for regimental activities.

Cross Battalion Training Support

Another item that would encourage the relations within each battalion, would be collaboration on each of the battalion’s designated training. This would allow Each battalion to suggest improvements to the host battalion’s training, refining them to produce better troopers in that specific category as well as encouraging each other to take part in each other’s designated training. These trainings would be, Rancor’s ARC program, The 91st’s ARF and BARC programs, and the 41st’s AT-RT program.

Another note on the Rancor ARC training. In the event an ARC trooper from another battalion has a suggestion for the program itself, this would require a separate meeting with exclusively ARC troopers to deliberate on the proposed enhancement or change. This is merely a precaution to prevent the leaking of these training to non-ARC personal and potential trainees.

Do you understand that if you go inactive that you will be removed from your position?:

Yes

Do you understand that your position has a two month term limit and you must reapply after two months to maintain your regimental commander rank?:

Yes

+1  Dedicated, Leader, Classy, Patriot, WAC job, Vegetable that looks like a fruit. Oliver I have known you for quite some time. You helped me, I helped you, and over time you have definitely changed for the better. I feel as though you are currently the best fit for this position. Your goals are solid, your plans have already been formed, and after talking with you and listening to what you had to say on behalf of the Recon Battalions, you won my vote. Keep being you. Follow through on these goals. These are considered promises from here on out. Keep up the good work. In the words of our Fallen Ex-Neyo @Quebec... "Go up one!"

Time zones do make things difficult when it comes to activity. At present, I have gained more control over my real life work and school. My timing will be more dictated by me in the coming months, and it will allow me more fluid manipulation of my activity. This fluidity is the thing that will allow me to stretch to other time zones, that may not necessarily be as well populated, or time zones that I usually miss due to my own.

I hope this answers your question @Dennis !

+1 ive known this man for 5+ years in fact he was the first person to ever train me on star wars BACK on SBS when he was a SGT I have seen your progress dedication and kindness from day 1 and watched you grow as a person in general now specifficaly to synergy. You have worked with the 91st a long time and been a constant and strucctured member you have handeled all you job as DO to the best of your ability and have done a great job in it always professional and giving precise and  accurate reports as a commander you have good communcation with almost all your troops and know how to lead and bring people together you are often an element of calming and order. In all honesty  I could go on writing for a while  but we both know writing isnt my strong suit so to end this i honestly beleve you will do well in this position and help the recon regiment thrive.
