    RP Name: Vas Rau

    Battalion: Bounty Hunter

Who is in command until you return?: Hades and Ratio

Length of Absence: Monday the 21st until Wednesday the 23rd.

I'll still be around, just a mental break to recharge. I won't be dealing with any administrative duties over those three days for BH. My lieutenants are responsible for the Guild.

  2. 7/10. You said it was your first main server event, and it went pretty well. Some slow points, but you did pretty well spreading out the action.

Edit: also yeah it was extremely long. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not all events can be this long.

  3. I think that lowering the damage and upping the magazine size would turn it from an instakill style PVP gun, into more of a breach-clear “bullet vomet” gun for clearing NPCs, like Merrill said. I basically just repeated his suggestion, so +1 to that lol.

I would actually enjoy the weapon like that. More shots to kill but bigger mag = harder to use in PVP, easier on NPCs, and that puts it more in the “Flamethrower category”

  4. 2/10. (Played as a B1)

You set the republic spawn point directly in between the CIS spawn, and the CIS objective. This made it so that no matter when or where we killed them, they respawn next to the objective with full health whereas it took us 5 minutes to cross the map. For a solid 10 lives, all I was able to do was run back to the objective, die as I get close due to someone spawning behind me/directly in front of me, then die and start the run again. This seems very rushed, just an idea to put multiple factions together and see how it goes. There wasn't a true story besides "Hey, There's Hostages!", little/no roleplay, and no guidance from GM during the event. Both sides were extremely confused, the event should've been adapted as it went to guide what we were doing. Just seemed very rushed with poor planning.

The event might've gone differently than you expected and that caused the issues I observed, or maybe it was just my personal experience. But I had absolutely no fun, that's just my take.

  5. I have it, and rarely use it. People that use that gun exclusively are extremely annoying. Especially when you start to combine that gun + a JT, or a Cloaker (including BH), then it’s horrible. I say the same about NT, i’d rather neither be a thing imo.

Flamethrower is just fun. Waste of money and not a viable weapon but quite fun

  6. What Heart said is true. I talked about my previous experience in a different community (I was equivalent of Founder) and the Owner of the community was a reference as a “Boss”. I wrote about being on the executive board (which is what we called it) for a community driven program that developed leadership skills in teens (I was head of staff). So I never lied, I just never mentioned gaming so the boomers didn’t ignore it.

  7. Schools in Cali have generally low acceptance rates just because of the high population combined with the popularity of people coming from out of state. Just do whatever you can to make yourself stand out in applications.

Nothing specific imo, just think of your unique traits, and focus on that

    Game Master Chief

Why should you become Guild Leader?:

Simply put, I want the Guild to succeed. Since the first day I returned to the server, I have loved the idea of a Bounty Hunter's Guild. But, when I passed my evaluations, there was a feeling of lackluster. For the first few days all I did was run around doing passive bounties, so basically random /me's, for single-digit renown at a time. I had somewhat of a similar experience after my promotion to Cabinet. I knew that I should be posting bounties and encouraging roleplay, but outside of that, I had to take it upon myself to find ways to help the Guild. I don't want any other player to join the Guild and feel lost. I want Bounty Hunter to be an enjoyable role on the server, a job that people are willing make their main like I do. I believe that the experience and knowledge I've accrued over my previous positions will allow me to steer the Guild in the right direction, and help it reach the potential that I see.

    Availability:

About 5 hours a day. I work about 45 hours a week, varying times, especially because of Covid Policies at my workplace. I won’t be on at set times, but I’m almost always available on discord.

Give a brief overview of your achievements on the server:

I already listed previous roles I held, so I’ll just talk about a few. First, my time as Military Director. Before I achieved this role, I spent the majority of the server’s development as a Head Admin. I worked with other members of high staff to test things for the server, create all the documents for the various teams and factions, recruit a staff team, and select the Commanders for each branch.  Next, as a member of various roles of Rancor High Command, I assisted with the creation of the original ARC training program with Fizzik and Khufu. Over the years, I helped adjust this program to survive the sands of time, and a lot of my original contributions still stand in the program to this day. But, those are all things I did in the past. Since I have returned to the server, I’ve been working to improve the Bounty Hunter’s Guild. I have created three programs so far to attempt to increase roleplay in the server from the Bounty Hunters. One is a recognition system based off of the three tiers that hunters can buy into that shape their gameplay: Friendly, Assassin, and Cartel. I have created a title for each of the branches, awarded to Hunters based on pure roleplay situations. More information about this program can be found in the Guild's Discord, or by PMing me. I’ll talk about the other programs in a later section, as they haven’t been approved or released yet, so they’ll be a part of my plan.

What do you feel the role of the Guild Leader is?: Due to the current situation of the Guild, I feel this question should be split into two sections.

    Guild Leader’s In-Game Role

In my opinion, it is extremely important for the Guild Leader to remain in character. The Leader of the Guild is known to the Republic, but not by name. Rather, they are known through reputation, and occupation. They are a connect between the GAR and the entire Criminal Underworld. Republic Officials should feel safe talking to the Guild Lead, having them visit, and contracting the Guild on the Leader’s behalf to bring wanted fugitives to Justice. At the same time, they must hold a certain level of anonymity, as this connection to the GAR can cause a strong conflict of interest. Everything the Guild Leader does in character directly affects the entire Bounty Hunter’s Guild and its reputation with the GAR and other factions.

    Guild Leader’s Overall Role

The answer to this isn’t simple, nor is it short, so I’ll summarize. First, be an example. I mentioned how I believe the general roleplay of the Guild Leader should go in game. Through this, the Guild Leader serves as an example to all Hunters, showing them what it means to have a continuous character that you build over time. Next, they should ensure the Cabinet is fulfilling their responsibilities, and make sure they have tasks to accomplish. Delegation is a very important leadership skill; no single person can lead on their own. If the Cabinet Members are not fulfilling their roles, then neither is the Guild Leader. Another important part of their role is relations with the Republic. Like stated before, I believe the relationship between the Guild Leader and the GAR is very important. They should be working with members of Republic HC on ways that the two factions can interact on the server, and create enjoyable experiences for everyone. The Guild Leader is also responsible for ensuring the ideas of all Hunters are heard. Many minor changes happen in the Guild frequently, and behind the scenes. It is their responsibility to ensure that the voices of all Hunters are heard and cared for during these behind the scenes changes. Finally, they need to ensure the changes in the Guild are continually proceeding. It seems in the past many promising ideas were brought forward in the Guild, but ultimately were not implemented because of lack of initiative by the Cabinet and Leader. If a program is being worked on, it should be seen through until it is either live, or scrapped. Even in the short time I have been in the Guild, I have seen a few great ideas be brought up, and then dissapear just as quickly. I believe this also relays into a trait I believe to be very important to the Guild Lead: transparency. Like I stated previously, many Guild decisions happen behind closed doors. The Leader needs to ensure that the Cabinet is aware of what is happening that they're not directly involved with, and that all Hunters are aware of upcoming changes. This gives them something to look forward to, and shows all of the players that the Guild Leader is putting in an effort to improve the issues they see.

Do you have a microphone?: Yes.

Do you understand that if you go inactive that you will be removed from your position?: Yes.

How do you plan to improve relations between the guild and the server?:

I have already explained how I feel the Guild Leader should roleplay in game, and that ties into my first point. I believe that both sides, the GAR and the Guild, should be encouraged to have a developing character plot, and run with it. From a Hunter’s perspective, I see many players continuously switching their names, jobs, and every day acting like their previous actions are null and void. I want to encourage retention of one character, and to develop that character over time how you choose to play. A good example of how this works is with members of Clan Leven and their relationship with the republic. From the GAR’s perspective, I will encourage Republic Forces to “remember” what happened to them, and use that to their advantage in roleplay scenarios. If a Hunter named “John Paul” blows up the base but doesn’t get captured, then six hours later shows up trying to sell weapons passively, the Republic Forces that saw him on base should detain the Hunter. This process ties into a new program I am working on with the Admiral, and BCMD Fox. It is not official, nor confirmed being added, as we have only had one discussion, but I see great potential. This program would create a system for documenting wanted Hunters, and allow Republic Forces or other Hunters to purse the fugitive and bring them back for processing. This program will cater to Hunters that prefer to work with and against the Republic, giving both sides more possibilities in roleplay scenarios. Another program I am working on is contracting a specific hunter to work with the republic for a designated amount of time. I won’t drag this out with the specific policies, but the program as a whole is designed to be a way for Hunters to further a passive character without getting their entire clan contracted to the Republic. The process will only be available to high-ranking members of the Guild, and will be overseen by Republic HC and the Guild Cabinet. The programs I’ve listed are all being worked on currently in conjunction with members of the involved groups. The main way I want to improve relations between the Guild and the Republic is inclusion. Nothing forced will work, from either side. The High Command of both factions need to be on the same page in order for relations to improve at all.

Do you understand that your position has a three month term?: Yes.

I have a lot of ideas, and a tendency to ramble, so I'm not going to add any more. If you want to hear about other ideas, feel free to ask.

Right. As being both BH and Clone Command I have a decent understanding on both sides. First plan would be to attempt to address the metagaming on both sides where both sides assume the worst of each other. That will be solved by speaking with BCMDs and their Officers to treat the Roles that are Citizens such as Freelancers and Those on say Clan Member acting as Mercs. For actually Roleplay is that if you have those that say want to Trade then we can establish trade deals. Such like that. Doing the Political RP with BH Cabinet Members. For Disconnect, That's down to how they treat each other, Hopefully that is fixed with the first part of my statement here. Hopefully that answers your question.

Good enough for me. As long as you put effort into helping out, I love it.

    +1.

Edit: Don't get burnt out please

  13. Very surprised to see this app, but honestly, I think you'd be a good palpatine. Before I vote though, here's a question:

There seems to be a major disconnect in roleplay between the Bounty Hunter Guild, and the Clones. Daily, Bounty Hunters get ignored in comms and face-to-face interactions when trying to complete bounties, and when just trying to RP on the server. For example: Just a few hours ago during an event I walked up to a Clone and asked him if they need help; a simple yes or no question. He turned to look at me for a few seconds, took three steps backwards, then turned around and continued standing there without saying anything. Quite literally gave me the cold shoulder.

My question to you is how do you intend to increase the Republic's Roleplay with the Bounty Hunter Guild and bridge this disconnect between the two factions?

PS: I'm aware that not all of the blame falls on the clones for this issue. The BH have their issues too, and I'm working on that internally as a Cabinet Member. I just want to see if you have plans from the other side to help out.
