  1. Name: RANCOR ARC SGT Rook Suggestion: Limit how often tryouts occur on the server Over the past 2 weeks of my experience on Synergy, a glaring problem has been made clear: a lack of cohesive tryout times. In my 6 years of experience with Clone Wars Role Play, tryouts were almost always limited to map size and available space. For example, on the standard Venator map, there could only really be two at once, as the Side hangars were the only suitable locations for them, with the Medbay being for the Medics exclusively, and the event server being reserved for Special Forces, such as Commandos or ARC. However, on Synergy, that is not the case. As soon as Debriefing is dismissed, for almost an hour afterward, officers can be seen spamming messages encouraging people to join a battalion, drowning out any text communication or attempt to give orders. As there are not many new players on the server at these times, one battalion may get lucky, and get one new Trooper to go to the tryouts, with all the spamming that goes on. And half the time, in my experience, that Trooper is a mingey CT just looking to cause trouble. Tryouts should be something special; A time when a battalion looks for new blood to hone and sharpen their skills, not a time for Commanders to push and shove for new recruits on a constant basis. The answer to this problem can be solved in two ways that I know work from my own personal experience. These have been tried-and-true methods of successful recruiting for over a dozen servers, and with the size of Synergy, it is sure to work here. The first way would be to limit the amount of tryouts that happen at once. As previously stated, the map usually determined the number of tryouts available at the time. Limiting people to 2 or 3 tryouts at once would cut down on the spam, and would give each battalion a genuine ability to recruit. Each tryout would be held for 30 minutes, and if no one showed up after that time, it would be cancelled, and another battalion would get to host tryouts. This would ensure a constant cycle of just the right amount of tryouts, instead of a massive cluster of bickering officers clamoring for more Troopers. The second, and perhaps more drastic and less desirable solution, would be to have scheduled tryouts. For example, the 501st and 212th would be cleared to host tryouts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, while the 41st and SO would be able to host them every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, to name only a few battalions. Naval, SO, and other specialized battalions could host any time on the weekends, or within a set period. This would allow troopers to be able to ask when tryouts for a battalion are being hosted, so as to give them time to prepare, and giving them something to look forward to. The current state of Synergy’s tryout system can be described in a few words: hectic, chaotic, and disorganized. It does no good to sit in one place and constantly post that tryouts are happening if you are drowned out by 5 other battalions doing the same thing. This system is fundamentally broken, and must be revised if Synergy is to continue growing. 3. my point in that passive aggressive comment is this. Because this RM isn't lore friendly really I feel as if it should be free range for us to make something up

  4. -1 umm No. What if you need to tell someone to stop sitting down or teaching some PVT to sit down properly. Try explaining that to the dozen of angry people yelling at the CG who arrested him/her

  5. -1 Not needed and is just going to promote power hungry CG to jump on the smallest reason to arrest.

  6. Idk but rather that than a PVT yelling fucking cock sucker fuck PTS and whenever PTS is active he's to scared to talk...

  7. -1 lol. That's like you taking guns or drugs off the streets to keep criminals from getting to them. Lol. It never works. Same for this. If saying PTS is Active doesn't work sometimes. Please explain what a text screen is gonna do? Good idea and could be helpful. But. No...

  8. Personal Opinion: Back in the day on IceFuse when I was DVL(Director here), this was forced to be a thing. It was the more idiotic thing forced on the server. I personally took down the text screens. Also to state a few things about the "Lore" that you are talking about. 1. We have never seen from Comics-Animated series a debrief like how we do it. The only "debrief" we have ever seen was the Strategy Confrence meeting in Season 5; Episode 13. 2. The only pseudo debrief we have ever witnessed close to a full army/battalion/squad etc etc was in a comic that came out fucking years ago and there were no naval, no clones EXCEPT Obi and Cody. You didn't see promotions, didn't see a debrief room(besides the tiny office they were in), nothing. It was 2 or 3 tiles. --Non-lore Aspects-- 1. If Naval doesn't call PTS is active, CG(this is mandatory) will advert it WHEN NO ONE is adverting to draw your eye and to read it. 2. It's kinda common sense to you know...shut the hell up when others are talking. 3. I've been a part of almost every battalion besides a few, EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. there is a debrief, you hear in their channel, PTS is active.(Obviously ts is different to game but it always carries on. Tester Opinion: Pros: It MIGHT make it more organized. Cons: Read my essay above. <3

  9. In response to Snow, there would be no lack of tryouts with option 1 or 2. They would still happen, with option 1 having them happen much more frequently. As soon as one battalion finishes, another takes its place. Thank you for your honesty.

  10. In response to Carter, this would give all battalions a more fair chance at getting new people through tryouts, as well as clean up the whole process. It would be a way of organizing the system into less of a clusterfuck. Thank you for your vote.

  11. After further investigation, I have decided to revert the ban. Your intentions were not malicious and I don't think that the rules for advertising are too specific. Mind you I will make this cystal clear now. Any discord or private message system that is in any way associated with Synergy Roleplay will be considered public and also property of Synergy Roleplay. With that being said you can be held accountable for anything you do or say in there. Do NOT advertise in any discord associated with Synergy Roleplay. This ban appeal is finished.

  13. +1 I don't understand where the "issues" come from. It's the same thing as when we had to switch back to standing & then sitting. There will be a period of adjustment and then it's back to being settled. Part of the reason I +1 is because a lot of the meme/jokes are during this brief moment. Nearly every DB is filled with people yelling at each other from the other side, tossing jokes, etc. It's like a Classroom right before the teacher steps in. Specially the one trooper that always has to stand out and yell "____ on deck!" as if nobody else was aware.

  14. +1 To this, it would be nice so we don't need to always make sure people read the advert for it.

  15. It was blatant advertisment. End of Story. This appeal is Denied.
