Sigi Posted January 20 Posted January 20 (edited) My in game mic refuses to work and it's kind of annoying. My steam chat microphone works but when selected as my in game voice microphone nothing is working. It auto detects my speakers or my steelseries.gg and when I change it via steam voice settings or normal window settings by selecting default, it won't select my actual microphone. A few things to note that I have tried as a fix: Redownloading GMOD Selecting my microphone as default via the steam settings and normal window settings. I've tried uninstalling steelseries.gg and selecting the proper microphone. When that occurs it sets to my headset mic and even that won't work when it comes to in game. It'll work for steam voice chat settings but not in game. As seen below the voice setting itself will listen to my audio input but the in-game option will not. (Yes I know the picture doesn't show an active test for the in-game). Any help will be appreciated. Edit: My microphone worked just fine a few weeks prior. Garry's Mod uses your default Window's Input. Longest Special Operations Member on the server. Try putting +voicerecord in your console. If this doesn't work attempt to disable your mic in steam, and then re-enable it once you've loaded into Garry's Mod. Arroyo Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I have had this issue before with my Artic 7P Steelseries. I found out that you have to reset it from the device itself, my headset has a little tiny hole with a button in it that if you press for long enough it’ll reset. It worked from there.
