Sinister
Within the next week, I'm going to be buying my first desktop. I've always played on a laptop, and have never had more than 30 fps. All I really care about is being able to play without issues at 100+ fps on most popular games. Apex, COD, ARK, Valorant, etc. Doesn't need to be on high graphics either. https://www.dell.com/en-us/member/shop/cty/pdp/spd/g-series-5000-desktop/gd5090g540s?cartitemid=a0b22dc6-f48d-4bec-90e9-66ac0097c25f&ref=cartconfigedit&configurationid=2af59823-dadd-4bbb-a915-46a6e17caf20#techspecs_section This is the PC I am currently looking at. I know very little about computers from what I was able to learn on google, so I'd appreciate some help on if this would be a good purchase or not There's also this option, with the 3060 ti instead of 2060 https://www.dell.com/en-us/member/shop/cty/pdp/spd/g-series-5000-desktop/gd5000g561h?selectionState=eyJJVVByaWNlIjoxNjQ5Ljk5LCJPQyI6ImdkNTAwMGc1NjFoIiwiUXR5IjoxLCJNb2RzIjpbXX0%3D&cartItemId=36e3a778-a592-4790-a958-b8673ba03c87&ref=carconfigedittitle Link to comment
Cannon
So pre-built computers are typically regarded as less bang for your buck due to companies jacking up prices for parts and calling it a service fee or whatever. If you have the means to buy parts separately and put it together yourself I would highly advocate for that. That being said, there are companies that do a good job with pre-built machines, off the top of my head I believe NZXT does a good job. Pxnda
https://buildredux.com/ Build Redux is a really good site to find pre-built computers with little to no markup at all. I heavily recommend this as this was proven to not overprice their builds with the parts they put in them. If you need anymore future assistance regarding computer hardware, let me know! ScarZ
Prebuilts are only good rn due to the GPU market being ass. I suggest going to micro center and picking out parts or order online Also for the 3060 prebuilt 500W is not gonna do at least get a 650W Former: Delta Pilot 42 | WO Appo | 501st 2ndLT ScarZ | Naval LT Patrick Link to comment
Cubby
Ok, I want to say that I am no computer genius, or someone who knows everything about building computers. But I am 95% sure that you for the RAM, you should opt the 2 sticks of 8GB vs the 1 stick of 16GB. It really depends on the MOBO, but the more you can distribute the Ram over "Channels" the faster it runs. If this is totally wrong, sorry. 1 Report Link to comment

I didn’t know about the difference so thanks for telling me, but luckily the computer comes with 2x8gb already as default Link to comment

Normally I'd recommend building but it's almost impossible to get your hands on a GPU you'd want nowadays. If you want, there is a forum I use called HardwareSwap, if you are able to jump on a fairly priced GPU there (slim chance because there's thousands of other people trying to do the same), then I'd 100% recommend you building. Otherwise, Cyberpower, iBuypower, and Ironside are decent pre-builts. Rule-maker and rule-breaker. Link to comment

If you plan on getting the Founders edition of the NVIDA graphics, Best Buy gets first dibs (I think). So if you just watch the "stocks" for the cards then order it when they get a new shipment, you have a chance at getting one. It also depends where you live, as some of the places are harder to get cards because they are less popular, etc... This is just for the Graphics Cards. Link to comment
