A problem with RP (or lack of)

Honestly I could sit here and type a 5 page essay on this topic but I'm not going to because it boils down to 1 singular point:

GROW A PAIR AND RP ON AN RP SERVER

Too many times do I see RP being pissed out the window, like legit I get that it's arduous and demanding but this is a Roleplay server for a reason. We're all here to have fun but not wanting to support and promote RP is just a next level type of stupid. Please, for everything that is good in this bleak, bleak world, RP ON THE DAMN ROLEPLAY SERVER

Every time I see forced RP it seems pretty dry and lack of imagination even though you don't see it throughout the server there are people that RP pretty good. Also, RP gets boring after a while because there are few things you can do when no events happen

If you need to talk OOC just say "I messaged you in private comms" and talk in TS that's literally what it's for.

Only times people should be talking OOC is Staff sit, GM pts, and TRs.

I outright ignore people that track me down in-game and start asking me OOC shit when I'm not in the lounge.

Oh i'm not retarded, the RP is pretty shite, its just that these threads really haven't accomplished anything. RP is a cultural thing and can be helped  by admins, but the players are the ones who do it. Synergys culture is whining about a lack of rp and then not wanting to do it. Getting more people to RP would be a long ass process of changing the communities culture.

After that one post made my dreams(?) in the batts and RP section of this topic, I feel like it kind of improved with More people/leaders trying to push for RP, especially in BO. The problem I see right now is how people react to the RP. They either straight up ignore it or minge with it. I feel like more COs should crack down on this and maybe even AOS if this happens. RP is improving, but there’s still a bit to go

A combination of lack of impatience and boredom means a lot of people don't want passive RP and want shoot 'em ups and more dangerous RP, like EOD.

Negotiations seems to be interrupted on a regular basis because people think they are going wrong.

I was doing an event and had some event jobs (3 Commandos) who managed to take a BO Major and Wolffe as hostage, a 104th was then negotiating with them and they hadn't even really started and then some SOBDE ran in with some other clones and shot then place up killing the droids and ruining the RP.

^ The amount of times that happens makes me laugh just too much, it has happened to me to but I just accept it now because people would rather shoot. But yet complain about ShootEmUps.... Y'all need to make your minds up.

I agree but it is just a very blanket term with the lack of Rp I know I try to do as much as possible but the thing is as funny as it sounds some people just dont really know how to get in character and do things with it and then theres like the topic of what should we RP about (obvious answer oh as your clone/NavalBO or as your Jedi/Sith) But at times it having a topic to RP with as your character theres times you can do really good passive that turns into a event but theres times where people try to do it on their own and people get scoffed at for doing it. like I remmber anderson doing a while back as Darman and people thought he was dumb for trying to RP on his own and laughed about him. Its just the whole idea of role playinv can be hard with lack of topics to do I personally try as much as i can but I know others struggle not knowing what to RP about like how when a event ends any RP that was going on just halts and stops and doesnt usually resume after the DB although there could be a lot of things to do after the event acknowlaging what happened checking for data breaches and tracking down tagets thst entered the base maybe but its all down to what the population want to do at that time. Final point some people are good at the /me RP and others are better character Role Players (Which I enjoy myself) but its just trying to engage with people and try thing's out.

more seriously, I dont know how long ago it was but when things like that happen try to reach a squad lead. Even if the squad lead was in the wrong, just let him or just another one know.
