    put it in!

5 | 4 | 5 Refer to Keegan, server did just fine and it played out on time
  2. I would like to see more serious RP during events (particularly in TS) and dealing with cross-batt trainings; do what you want in barracks and mess hall but it just devolves into a seniority based old boys club if we don't enforce standards of behavior and language from top to bottom. We always used to do OOC stuff in bunks and OOC lounge and everywhere else was basically a 7/10 RP and events were serious. Perfectly in balance, as all things should be.
  3. 4/4/4 Almost as sick as Edith Hamilton's Mythology
  4. Oshava

    41st recon

    4/4/5 GO GREEN GO MEAN
  5. 4/3/5 - The AI definitely derailed it a bit to start but all in all was a good cooperative deployment GO ATTACK
  6. Corey is a standup guy and well qualified, so that's a solid +1 from me
  7. +1 Definitely worth the read
  8. -1, can't just capitalize on a dead server
  9. 8.5/10, fantastic effort and setup
  10. Alrighty. I do hope most of you realize that, pragmatically speaking, there is 0 difference between a senior officer and a BCMD apart from title and strict authority. Anyone who has made at least Major/Colonel should be capable of running a battalion considering most of this is a team effort on the part of high command within said batt. Because SC, oh wait, SO, has this mentality, we have bred some extraordinary leaders and highly competent paper shufflers, which ultimately is all this comes down to; don't let that ostensible flash fool you. Kitsune is a high quality guy with the right approach. Any other choice is an outright refusal to accept that new blood can contribute. +1
  11. I appreciate all criticisms, including those from battalions that do not exhibit the values they might espouse themselves.
  12. Steam Name: [SR] BOT Chad's Steam Name [NA] RP Name: TR SpecOps TTD HeadCMD Oshava Steam ID STEAM_0:0:7329451 Battalion or squad you are applying for: Medical Experience: Shadow Company / Special Operations Head Commander and IT (document) leader, MEDL/Support Overseer of SC/SO. Why should you become a Battalion Commander?: I've seen the incredibly disparate spectrum of medical personnel on the ship, from those who don't know to wash their hands to the others who know how to properly apply localized nullicane on a flesh wound which has been cauterized with a heated spoon; I've kept a demanding standard for my medical staff in SC/SO as pertains to strict roleplay rules, creative thinking/adaptation in checkup/surgery/prescription/communication and always kept my medical personnel abreast of the guidelines required to provide top notch roleplay within the medbay and out in the field of battle. Medical roleplay is my favorite part of being on this server, both because it requires attention to detail and the ability to respect the roles and work creatively. Do you understand the lore of your battalion or squad?: If it pertains to (specifically) the 307th Medical, I am aware but not intimately so. Availability: I'm flexible as I work typically from home in freelance textbook/academic editing. I can promise activity in the late afternoon/evening with the odd occasion I'm on until 2/3am EST. Estimate of how long you've played on Synergy Roleplay?: Since September 2, 2017. Do you have a microphone?: Yes. Where do you want your battalion or squad to be at the end of your term?: I want the Medics on ship to be active, to have knowledge of how to conduct everything from typical medbay checkups to immediate in-field surgeries; most importantly I want the Medics on our server to do their job to their utmost. It must be made known that we serve a truly utilitarian function and that we must uphold RP standards. Medicine is a serious job and in order to establish an effective corps of medical personnel it must be made clear that procedure and attention to detail come first and foremost. If I could walk away saying EVERY MEDIC on the ship can conduct a professional, exacting and appropriate checkup and surgery then I will be a satisfied man. Do you understand that if you go inactive that you will be removed from your position?: Yes I do.
  13. RP Name: TR SC ENG TECH MEDL CMD Oshava Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:7329451 Age: 26 Gender: Male Timezone: Eastern US Tell us why you wish to be an administrator (6 sentence minimum): The staff members on this server do a very good job by and large and I'd like an opportunity to pitch in helping things run smoothly and as expected for the guys and gals I enjoy playing with so much. I am active quite often during off hours or quiet times when the scarcity of available (i.e., not AFK) admins can, at times, become an actual gripeworthy issue, whether it has to do with moving AFK battalion members in bunks for tryouts, acquiring a whitelist for CCs after training, dealing with a 5 am RDMer or other assorted issues/queries. I've certainly enjoyed 99 percent of my experience on the server, but in that 1 percent lies the off hours issue which can often become a practical hurdle to the normally smooth experience of playing on Synergy. To sort of trampoline off of that point, I feel that the contributions made by the staff members are a crucial component when it comes to the machine that keeps the ship sailing with few hiccups and I fancy the chance to contribute to that myself. I've grown to really enjoy the people and environment of the server and anything I can do to help out the player experience is something I'd jump on in a heartbeat. I feel this is a great way I can help streamline the experience for the players, accommodate to the inquiries, complaints or requests of the players and provide a service to the players. Overall I look forward to being able to help out when it is required and being a part of the staff team that makes this server a quality place to be. No reason not to give back to something that's given me some genuinely quality entertainment and the people responsible for it. Tell us a little about yourself (3 sentence minimum): Just a guy from St. Louis, MO who finds himself in South Carolina now. I work in freelance academic/journalistic/textbook editing; I graduated from the University of Missouri - St. Louis with double BS's in English and Statistics. Generally I'm simply the type who enjoys good friends having good laughs over good food and drinks and plays games when I can't do that. I played Lacrosse and Football back in High School, and still play Lacrosse to this day; America's original pastime yknow. Cheers all, thanks! Do you have any previous staff experience? No I do not. I don't believe I would find much difficulty in learning the ropes though.
  14. +1 Well fleshed out scenario that allowed us a lot of flexibility in our approach. We ended up having to brainstorm and axe certain plans in favor of others. Excellent atmosphere within the facility and fun story to be a part of, especially a pleasure to lead my boys in this event. Big FAT +1
