  1. Yeah look, the consistant issue i find with Naval is the roleplay. And i dont just mean through your actions when playing the character, i'm talking the way you respond in comms, the way you handle yourself when no one is around, the small things that bring together a bigger picture. One thing i would say about the PTE's/PTL's is that most of the time, no one is actually on their base ops or they are AFK, having that 1-3 people on base ops (At a singulair time) you are going to struggle trying to develop and work, and being completely honest, I dont actually see many base ops on, and when I do its Carvis AFK in the central Lobby cross armed. I would very much like to see and feel the presence of the navy, not just sitting in the restricted areas, come down, roleplay and have fun with us all rather than trying to be your own presence, it wont work you simply do not have the numbers to do so, remember it is a clonewars server, not navalRP, so I think if we saw you guys more out and about on base, and communicated with us a fair bit more it would be good. Another thing, which you would be able to get into contact with GM's about is how encounters are ran, Instead of a mando just pushing into base, or ridge line camping, maybe try and see if base ops can add some roleplay to the start of things "/comms *S* Our scanners are picking up an unusual amount of activity approaching the base from the ridge line down to the south east wall of base, can 91st go check that out" although 91st is gone, you get the picture it adds more roleplay for you guys during an encounter and makes the start up a little better also. I do think naval has issues internally, but i also think if you guys outsourced help to change how certain things went you could honestly be quite good.
  2. -1 My experience with Alec has been very passive, Although I have not been talking to him much, nor been here for long I do know one thing. I'm not sure if I like your mindset. When I was first coming to assist the battalion with the wishes of Cloud as Regimental I instantly heard the following remark - "When I was intel I never got help from the ITD, SO why should I help them" I can't remember who I was with, It might have been Skylur or Sinclair, Im not sure but the only thing we all said was "Thats not how you do it, if you didn't get the support that doesn't mean you treat them how you got treated, if you wanted help back then they probably want it now, dont let them go through the shit you went through" He knew this, as he answered with "I know" and this was literally 8 days ago. All I can say that mindset is one I do not like personally. On top of that, I've never sensed much of a presence from you at all that radiates a leader in the group, from my experience so far you are very passive these days. Personally there is no candidate at the moment I can say I would support 100% - The battalions been having issues constantly and the biggest is around the Code 100 breach, which as you know is the breaking of PTS and Battle Comms, no one has decided to contact me when this breaks apart from a SGT, theres no one who is above the ranks of 2ndLt that can follow this correctly yet, there are problems but ive seen no actions or willingness to help diagnose and attack the issue, And for those of you who need to know I am the Disciplinary lead of the 104th and rank as BCMD when it comes to Disciplinary stuff which this relates to, so they come to me if they wish to assist/issues. Only SGTS do so, Only SGTS have the will to tell me and get the battalion in trouble to develop and train, No one else has. You have did not step up to assist a battalion wide issue, Instead focused on Intel and Support Lead which was doing perfectly fine upon my join. You've been promoted to XO from MAJ, Shown no signs of even wanting to help me or anyone, The only reason I could possibly +1 this is due to your time in the battalion and work as SUPL thats it. I would say work as Intel, but your mindset and approach put me off although on paper you did well. You have also been in the Senior Officer ranks from 7 days. You got promoted to MAJ 7 days ago and within that you got XO - It's all a little rushed. I would personally like to see the man who has been a Commander in the 104th for 50+ days apply, or someone who has been in the CURRENT senior officer core for more than 7 bloody days. I also think you can be easily influenced by those who have lead you before etc, This is not what I want to see from a BCMD stepping up to a battalion in 104th's current state at all. You need to be sure of your actions without being backed up, make the decisions based on the battalions current state, and evaluate it for what it is now. This battalion is no longer the same as Scarecrows or chops, no no no you are going to have to put effort into this the same I did for 187th, You can't be constantly listening to outside retired members because they don't like how you are doing something, that'll send you backwards and hold progression for this current battalion, you need to run this as Alecs 104th - not Foxeys, FM's, Scarecrows, Chops etc. And personally I do not think you can. Not only that, but you havent had much time to actually lead this battalion or be at the forefront of things, yes you became Support Lead and Intel Director, thats great you micro managed a small portion of the battalion, But you jumped from MAJ to XO, Haven't made any decisions or tried to attack any issues with the ability you have now as an XO- which you should be doing, you are the head of the battalion, instead you are still acting like a MAJ- If you can't even act now as a XO and show promising signs to help improve the battalion I personally dont think you are ready. If this was me, as a MAJ I would have been doing anything possible to attack the problems within the battalion, and fix it along side doing my Intel work, Which I have done and always do when I look to assist a battalion. I manage intel, ARCL, DISCL, and what ever other priorities I might have but then apply myself in my spare time to assist the battalion and make it better- You haven't. Im sorry but there are SGT's that are trying to help and do more for this battalion than you are at this point in time, Just because you have been here for a while doesn't mean it gets easier, or the more ranks you go up the less you have to do, not at all with the 104th's current state. Don't get me wrong, you are a good guy for sure, I've spoken and seen you around for a while even when you made the 104th drama issue and got banned, but as of now I do not think you are ready for this, If I was going to be biased I would +1 this because you are friend, but I simply have to look past that for the sake of the battalions state. *Update* I don't want to have to rat anyone out here but, Some people in the battalion HC have been using blackmail tactics to get people to do work in the battalion. Ontop of that we unfortunately cannot go to Alec about this anyway because there is unfortunately a group forming within the 104th to "reform" it which is leaving out other officers and commanders of the battalion. A trooper complained to 2 104th High command, one being this applicant, the other is the Commander black mailing, about the black mail and how he does not want to be under such shady leadership and is now walking away with 2ndLt - The trooper getting 2ndLt has been in the 104th for under 10 days, is a Senior NCO, and has even stated he does not deserve 2ndLt The same commander, has forced a member to stay on and do things for him and I quote "You are not getting on off this until you do that ----" In an aggressive tone. I have bleeped the last part there cause it will leak identity of the Commander in this issue. A Commander is potentially leaving the 104th due to one commanders leadership(Same one which is black mailing) etc, the same one we cannot go to alec about because they are working very closely which is fine, do not get me wrong - you can work with whoever you want, but when we feel we cannot go to someone because we hold a different value, thats just wrong. For instance, One commander has called 2 individuals "butt buddies" because they hold the same values. The same commander which is working closely with Alec and blackmailing- Overall since Sinclairs promotion and this application going up there has been a sudden increase in shady actions involving the applicant, other commanders, and retired(Not all) which has lead me to resign, one of the more stubborn members of this community. Now not all of this is alecs fault at all, but it does go to show that this is the person he has decided to work with, and it worries me a lot- People are wanting to leave due to the one commanders actions and yet we dont feel comfortable going to Alec due to his choice to work closely with the commander. (The bold part is confirmed by Forseen as not starting drama)

  6. +1 Had a chat with Bro about my concerns and voiced my questions. Upon answering the questions I got an understanding of how much he has worked and communicated with the BCMDs of the battalions that fall under Spec. Not only that but I was questioning his ideas for the battalions but as he pointed out, some of the best things can come from those who have a different and and aspect. I will say this, to anyone who is questioning this application - speak with him and you will sure change your mind.

If its a personal vendetta or not, he stated it isn't and so should have answered the questions and moved on, this little jab at the bottom is not needed at all.

  14. -1 at the end of the day, we dont need an immediate replacement for oliver. I would like to see some interaction with us sooner rather than obtaining this from an outsourced battalion (Not a MECH based batt) you will be moving from a battalion which is based Spec Ops. From what I've also read, Most of your time is 21st/SO so the amount of time you have within lets say 41st, or 104th is worried, you have no experience within these fields so im curious as to how you will actually be of any benefit to us with our vehicle trainings etc. Knowning how to do the trainings is different to what goes behind the scenes into updating them etc. I guess in terms of communication within battalions its not really needed to be focused on mainstream, especially with a lot of updates and changes happening. And constant changes and idea implementations within vehicle trainings etc, it would be good to actually have you experience our battalions before putting your name forward for a position you arent actively apart. Another issue is you worked while BCMD with a RCMD and you still could not bring better communications between the battalions you targeted back then. Which makes me wonder how you actually plan to build better communications between battalions because I sure hope its not just from training's and deploying us together. Forcing us to communicate and work together is one way to do it, but you'll find not many will get on for joint training's as it happens all the time people say they will but they dont get on for it. And having 2 vehicle based battalions going on deployment will always be handicapped in a sense with rules regarding vehicles on event. I also know from the 41st perspective in my opinion anyway, your end goal for us has been achieved. We only seek to have fun on Gmod, we expand and sometimes announce when we are playing a different game, most of the time people arent even playing gmod but just chilling with one another in the teamspeak just to chat. Ontop of that, you should already have a sense of what the BCMDs/People running for it- want from you. Before applying its always nice to arrange a meeting before posting a RCMD application, or at the least message them before applying or as soon as you have posted it. Judging from you plan to improve battalions you havent communicated with each battalion representative at the moment. Once again could just be the way it is written but take this into consideration, you want to improve relations with battalions and their communications but you have not even contacted the battalions to get an insight of what we want from you. (Once again, could be wrong but I have to go of the way the application is worded.) And Im not sure what you mean by create activity in a battalion? Are you saying improve activity within a battalion? And keep battalions having fun. These are some things I would like you to elaberate on simply because I have experience with dead/unliked battalions, and improving them from nothing... literally, so it would be good to see what plans you have to improve us as battalion members the achieve this, because thats what it is, the battalion members not just the officers+. If you can answer the questions scattered within this i may consider changing, but until then I have to -1 because there aint a neutral.

  16. +1 I believe Marvel to be the superior candidate for the position, not only does he understand how SOBDE works, he is a previous Regimental for the branch and completed a rare achievement which is a full term. Marvel has done nothing but look after and develop the community by bringing new ideas or generally being around as a Director. Although his time as a Director caused him to slowly burn out in a sense, its good to see his enjoyment levels without being a Director are high and that he is willing to make the most of his squad and further develop them into becoming great troops. Marvel, I wish you the best of luck my friend.
  17. +1 Remember now, I was this mans BCMD for the most part. Yes there was quite a lot of issues caused by Ayden, but this doesnt hinder his ability to be a staff member at all, Surrounding yourself in a battalion where you clash with others on a personality level was ultimately the downfall which led to his removal/blacklist. This came to be because we ran a 1 strike system across the board for everyone. Ayden, I think you should be given the chance you deserve and become a successful staff member, but please work on the following: - Situation Handling - Anger Management I think these are the main two issues you had in the 187th, if you could improve on these than I see no reason as to why you cannot be staff, as when it came to my resignation, you had come a long way and become quite the trooper.

My biggest issue is the background 100% it takes away from the viewing pleasure of the forums, If you flick between the 2 themes at the bottom, having the darker background, with the lighter forums makes for a better viewing time on the forums. I think trying to incorporate more colors is a not the way to go, Having the orange as a highlight to elements such as the submit button is nice because they stand out and the forums contrast nicely. But because 1 minority of the forums is orange doesn't mean that has to become the branding color, I quite like the Blue, White and gray colors we have. Its more aesthetically pleasing, so why not maybe incorporate them, and use solid colors rather than bright, vibrant gradients. Use a softer darker color if you are going to add a background color, Bright highlighting elements ain't for backgrounds its for making things stand out. I'm also using dark mode and having such a vibrant background takes away from the point of having dark mode. Pros - Online status is lit tho And most other things

  20. Hi Jagger, Any chance you can add "Reed" to the list of lore names, thank you. All jokes aside, this is probably one man who knows what he is doing and how to approach the current situation with the 212th for sure. Although one thing that is a shame, is you wont be going at your true potential as you can't be that harsh towards people on the internet these days but its the way the cookie crumbles. I spoke with you recently and gave some tips n tricks, reassured you with some decisions and I think you will make a fine Cody. Compared to most members of the current 212th line up you have by far the most experience under successful and good cody's much like billiam, but you also have a vast experience with Cody's that aren't that great. So I think you could easily pull it off and turn it back into former glory. You my friend have my +1
