The 50 damage is per 1 blaster bolt from 1 pistol which would equal to a single DC-17 doing 50 damage per shot and the duals wouldnt do any more damage

In lore all troopers had grappling hooks and jetpacks when needed, republic had AV-7s and a shit ton of other stuff. If it's in lore doesn't mean it will be in game.
