If you know how to modify minecraft with JavaScript you can figure out App Scripts. App Scripts and Roster formulas are different things. App Scripts run on triggers to do things to a sheet, or outside of the sheet automatically. Formulas are usually for displaying info/sorting. Formulas are Excel/Sheets own deal and App Scripts is just based on JavaScript. Everyone finds different things easy/hard. Just up to the kind of person you are.
