However, as you can see in the clip, there must be either a hitbox poking out or something, because we are getting shredded while blocking with the riot shield, which defeats the purpose of a shield (especially one that can't be placed down). I even tried backing into a corner so my hitbox isn't entirely out, and I still get damaged while blocking. How can we recreate it: Place 1-3 NPCs in front of you and spawn in a riot shield. You will still manage to get hit.

Mystic Posted March 3 Developer Posted March 3 (edited) Worth noting between model clippage and how damage tracking works on Gmod , and server tick, a holdable shield that blocks every bullet wouldn't be possible. So no matter how this gets patched, even if its just slightly better, you'll have a hard time surviving in squads of droids. Edited March 3 by Mystic Longest Special Operations Member on the server. Arroyo Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 If possible, can we also look into blocking weapon effects? For example, if I block the ice shotgun bullets, I should be able to not take any of the ice shotgun effects, etc. Just worth an ask.
