SyN
Hey I’m no good at goodbyes, but I’m leaving. Rather than say any cheesy shit like I’ll miss you guys, or that “this isn’t the end” I just wanted to say why I’m leaving. In case you’re new or just don’t know me I’m 2ndLt Syn, I joined back in September of 2017. I’ve been a medic since I’ve been here, and up until now it was one of the most fun jobs of the server. Being a medic worked, you healed yourself and healed your squad-mates.You got your promotions like everyone else. This system worked perfectly fine for months until just recently. Joah, who I have grown to dislike greatly, decided that suddenly realism is more important than actual fun gameplay. This would’ve been perfectly fine if the people of the server agreed. This recent decision about the Republic Medics has gotten me angry not because of the medics being removed, because I could simply become a Republic Medic, but rather because they were removed even though it was voted no twice by the people. “This is Synergy. Synergy Roleplay is the new hope, a place where your voice can be heard and brought to life. As a community, we work in synergy to bring the game play you enjoy day in day out.” This is the first thing you see when you log into the server, notice the message focuses on community. This motto is directly contradictory to what Joah did, which was remove medics even though they were voted to be kept by the community. Mind you this removal was completely unnecessary and was a solution to a non-existent problem that only caused more issues than anything else. I understand that many people will think “you’re leaving after all this time just because your class got changed?” I’m not leaving because of that, but instead because the removal happened because Joah wanted it to, not the people. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe it’s Joah’s right to do that because he is the owner. Nonetheless I don’t believe in those ethics, I don’t believe that he is superior to everyone else because he is the owner and so I am leaving. I’m not one to take part in a system I feel is wrong, and I definitely don’t want to be part of this shit show where one guy feels superior to others because he is the owner of a fucking Star Wars RP server. I play games for fun, not so someone else can take control and make my decisions for me, that happens too much in real life nowadays. Anyways I’ve rambled on, so I’d just like to say goodbye to the 41st along with everyone else I’ve met along the way. 2 Report Link to comment

Wombat
@SyN , You were one of my best medics, you had a happy and bright personality and always had fun. You helped the battalion not just as a medic but as an officer and a person in general. Would of loved to see you stay, but I believe thats not gonna happen. Sad to see you go man. Best of Luck in the Future. Link to comment
Maddox07
I can Agree with you on that Syn as a MEDO it sucks to see that in order to continue to be something I loved and trained for I would have to be separated from my battalion and be used by other battalions. Sad to see you go Syn... But I see where your coming from Link to comment
