  1. -1 I might be mistaken, but I was under the impression there was a HL2 rocket ammo box that loaded up to 4-6 rockets (I forget the max amount in half life). If a GM wants you to have more rockets, I would suppose they'd spawn that in for you. Otherwise, you should probably conserve them and keep at least 1 for a target(s) that actually needs it.

the damage buff would only add 1 point of damage per hit

I mean yeah. It's 1 damage more and it adds 1 damage per shot while increasing the accuracy would also increase the amount of shots that actually land their hits. I think with the proposed shield buffs, they'll already be pretty alright at anchoring a location but with increased accuracy, I think they could already be really good and wouldn't need the damage buff. As discussed above by Jad, if I had to take one or the other I'd rather take the accuracy buff.

your really gonna tell me that the CG Heavy helmet doesnt look better then every other heavy helmet?

I don't recall the CG helmet off the top of my head, but yeah. I mean like I said, it's subjective but I like the standard heavy helmet. Sorry if it doesn't line up with your preferences.

while thats a fair point but the weapon heavies get for their class also needs to be good.

Overbuffing multiple sections at once is very rarely a good idea. I agree with maybe increasing their accuracy, but I'd much rather wait for the shield buff to get a response to gauge the HVY effectiveness (damage is not the only measure of worth).

In DBFZ Frieza can turn into golden frieza which buffs his speed and damage output and is good thanks to it being buffed multiple times, however to turn into golden frieza you have to play as base frieza whos kinda just bad. The devs didnt understand that no matter how much they buff golden that regular frieza still has to be good.

Okay, so... we're doing this. Anyone who doesn't care about fighting games can skip to the end of the segment. In DBFZ, you utilize multiple characters in a tag team of 3. This is commonly referred to as Point (primary meterless char), Mid (2nd or auxiliary character) and Anchor (heaviest meter eating character). Frieza is typically the latter and pops off with meter (though there are better chars, most of the dlc roster). And no, you don't have to even play as golden frieza to get golden... you just have to build meter on your other chars and get a hard knockdown into install.

Similar to the different equipment a trooper's kit might have (DC-15a, Z-6 Rotary, shield if given) you do not use only one part but all these parts in conjunction to measure the worth. Your analogy is that because an aspect of a kit is really good, you need to buff the worse off aspects to compete.

same case here. while giving shields to heavy is a really good buff it doesnt fix the already existing issue that heavies look really ugly

and their class weapon sucks. How are you supposed to effectively make sure of a shield if your main weapon can barely hit things at point blank.

In a game with not great hit registration, latency, etc it is really hard to keep a weapon about pumping out as much firepower as possible relevant with a damage scaling as well as keeping it relevant in the overall metagame of the weapons. If we buff Z-6 damage and it turns out stronger than the ARF sniper in DPS, do we buff that next? Do we buff the SUP shotty in response to that? Also if you can't hit things at point blank then that sounds like a genuine skill issue.

Now the big one, I want to make the ARC program as a whole even more intergrated with the Rancor battalion. To do this I plan to make arc leadership in battalions be cleared by our senior officer core, as we have had issues with some ARCL's in the past (I will not name these people as to not call them out publically). The general steps of becoming an ARCL will be listed below:

I know this point is already voided and discussed by others by this time, but I just wanna expand since not many mentioned it. If there are people in their ARCL positions you genuinely feel are unable to handle it or aren't fulfilling their responsibilities, you can just try to talk to them. Most BCMDs are fairly level headed guys you can bring down into a room to chat with or trade DMs with over discord. With that said, each battalion functions independently and you should respect that even if you are not given the answer you were hoping for.

    - Time Trials of a CIT run or Dupe

I don't think this is a bad idea as long as the course can be recreated exactly the same per run.

    - Build Battle on event server

It could be a good chance to show off the creative ability of players.

    - Roleplay challenge - Movie Scene re-enactment

Seems kinda iffy. What would they be roleplaying? Scenes related to their bat? What is the criteria? Will people lose to the guys that can do the really good clone voices?

    - Dodgeball tournament

     Sure, it's different.

    - A BARC relay race

As long as it isn't on a map with iffy hitboxes and the BARCs have higher than normal health, why not. But it probably won't be fun if all the contestants burn out in 20 seconds because they rammed each other taking a turn too hard.

Just placing my thoughts on each in red so the post isn't giant.

  6. 9/10 Even though I came in a little late, it wasn't really hard for me to get up to speed. DM let me use RP background to help assist with the ongoing events and it felt more BHish than most deployments I've done as hunter.

  7. I don't really care if it is specifically sith or not, but a more consistent antagonist faction would be nice for both giving something to do during downtime as well as for hostile hunters to have a potential partner for. It would potentially lead to [x] mains that might detract from the general clone playerbase at peak times (especially on launch). But I feel like just asking "Would you like to see sith come back?" without potential proofs of concepts and such will make people feel concerned about the thought (which is fair).

The only other way to bri g HVY into relevancy would b3 to give it the rocket launcher, but thats just makes HVO irrelevant in the process. Shields are universal useful and this is not taking from DU and DS, the group with shields as they have them on all jobs.

We will have to make sure and or remind people that shields can set off anti tank mines. I might be wrong there but I think they can.

    +1

From my extensive testing of blowing myself up often, just about any entity seems like it can.

  9. +1 I think this seems like a good idea and I assume the current leadership/members of DU are cool with handing over their shields to the rest of jobs? If it comes to it, I think it'd be fine to let them keep shields on a majority of their jobs while having shields in other bats remain specifically for heavy.

In my experience, I have always been incredibly frusterated with the manner in which many "allow" civilians on base, and furthermore, what we allow them to do. I myself main-ed bounty hunter at a point, reaching the rank of Guild Marshal for a while, so I 100% understand the struggles many faces whilst on the job.

It's kinda hard. Hunters don't really have any other faction to interact with more (with consistency) aside from the guild and clones. If half of the guild are currently where clones are, the other half will probably head there to interact with them too. If we prevented them from coming in then we'd be more a barrier to RP than encouraging of it.

On 3/14/2022 at 12:09 PM, Guac said:

With that being said, I still firmly believe that being allowed on base is a privilege, not a right, which is a concept I don't think many understand, clones and BH's alike.

It amazes me to this day, that when people disrespect or threaten a clone, they are surprised when they are met with an adverse reaction. This plays back into the whole privilege factor I mentioned earlier. Furthermore, I am also impressed when a battalion lines the hall, each ready to scrutinize a hunter's base pass, and then are surprised when no one wants to roleplay with them.

It's a privilege in that you have to be approved for it, sure. And yeah, I kinda hate the "Ha. If you look at me wrong, I'll blow off your legs... wait, what do you mean I'm being told to leave base?" mentality. People just are edgy on any job though so I started tuning it out. And yeah, there isn't really an easy way to do the inverse either because some players just like being annoying to be annoying.

As much as you can point to documents and ROE guides all you want, just because you can give/take away a pass, doesn't mean you should, and just because you have a pass, doesn't make you invincible to repercussions.

This lack of punishment / RP responsibility makes the server and roleplay in general so boring to me sometimes. There are no stakes, no CoC to be respected, no kill that isn't "RDM". It's all just so boring to me at a point.

I was under the impression that this was the intent of RSB at the time. To add consequences for hunters that had made the funny most wanted board or whatever... that only a handful of people typically even see. But regardless, I'd again argue that not giving a pass (without good reason, i.e. them identifying themselves to be the most wanted clan rn) is more harmful to an RP environment than helpful. In the same vein though, throw them out if they are stupid but don't abuse the privilege to do so.

Yes but I'm saying, that this could be re-made/added alongside the new models with a new version to match. Suggestions have been taking longer to be implemented, and if this is accepted it should be added around the same time as the new models for 21st, hopefully.

Yeah, I think it'd be a good precedent to have in general since I don't think it should be causing too many issues.

you single handedly brought the battalion from almost 60 people to 20, with only giving people 24 hours to reply from long loa’s etc. when I spoke up about giving them more time to not harm the battalion I was met with hostility and told that we can’t play favorites even though I was speaking in general terms. You did all of this within the span of 2 months.

For clarification, was this related to activity checks (they were pinged to reply and didn't after not having been on/promoted in a long time) or people who were on actual LOAs? If he was just stiffing people who had actually given their reason and all, was there any overhead at the time to rebuke his decisions?
