if anyone here has/had ap research, or if anyone has done a research project with a data collection tool, how can you make a collection tool that is actually able to be re-used by other people?

 

i'm stumped frfr because i'm doing a MEDIA ANALYSIS, so do i have to be like "yo look at how eren's mouth moves as he talks about wanting to kill civillians" ?? this shit has got me stumped

soo basically, i am asking for advice on how to create a data collection tool with a media analysis, on say like a show or series. or even a data collectioon tool in general for research. a data collection tool is just one's method for doing their research, and it should be able to be done by another person as well basically. so like if someone uses my data collection tool, they should basically get the same results from it

Are you asking how to make a data collection tool that allows people to reuse the data collected? Or like a data collection tool that actually can be reused to collect different types of data but it can be used by different people for different reasons and be as simple as inputting info for the new user so basically like like a survey, or are you asking for something everyone can use to collect data from something, someone or anything in reality at a certain time of what they are talking about, cause if so good luck with that, you can’t really make a data collection tool for something like that, it would have to be unique to each subject since what they are analyzing would be different and would also be analyzed at a different time frame

 

only obvious tool for this would be an AI that would analyze the subject of what you’re trying to find shit about, I did this in sociology but it wasnt this type of shit specifically

this is shit professional analysts do, I don't understand why it would be an assignment. Also are you trying to make a tool that does this or find one.

a data collection tool is just straight up a set of methods or instructions for someone to do to collect the data more or less. i came up w/ one so i got it

As a guy currently taking research, I'm not sure that's one of the requirements, only a replicable method

 

but

 

You could develop a specific series of analysis points to go through in each scene (or whatever)

Example: Timing of expressions, amount of smiles, etc.
