The way you beat "Video Game Addiction" Is by not playing Video games.

I have to leave my house a lot for weekends and shit, and I live without video games for however long I am gone, (A few days, a week, so on.)

This being said, I would also call myself a very avid gamer, I love video games, but I don't think anyone is truly a video game addict.

Things like smoking and a part of your system, your body needs it after a while, and if you don't have it, your body will malfunction, if you go without video games for a week you will be fine.

If you want a tip to make getting used to doing things like... going outside easier though, here are a few. (And don't you dare give me some excuse for why you can't do it.)

  • Sports, While it is not my cup of tea, joining a sports team can be really good for people, and it will get you away from the computer.
  • Get a job, Getting a job will make ya the dank $$$ and it is helpful to pry you away from your precious computer.
  • Try a new hobby, Try something new, listen to new bands and get involved with music, or you can go down the making things route.
  • Get involved with your community, if you got to high school, sign up for clubs that interest you, and try to make strong friends to hang out with (Even if you are playing video games with them)
  • What I have found helps me most is trying to focus on school work, you know, that thing that is important in your life and what most of your week depends on. If you put hard work and effort into school, things during the day will be 100% easier.

There's a few tips to help ya out, good luck.
