The Delay to the event was kinda off, since Commanding officers usually can inform men when they arrive, and when you have an event based around someone who needs to be rescued, it can obviously help since if they need to go earlier than need be, the CO informing their men is a capability.

However as a Game master i believe you should enforce your rules set in place a bit more firmly however. People broke many many rules that you set in place and much wasn't done about it. Some times people need to get a little push to get the rules in place.

Overall a sweet, decent amount of time, interesting story build.

However a lot of the players in that event were REALLY Mingy and as mentioned, broke a lot of the rules.

Tl;dr
Enforce your own rules set in place as the GM.
Don't be afraid to do so.
Try to time your events and let people know they can be filled in by CO's after joining if one of your jobs that are important to said event need to be somewhere/go for the night.
