  1. As I said, there should be some sort of prereq to be able to become a gamemaster without going thru staff, such as past experience or something. I think this suggestion reveals an even bigger problem though. No one would be asking for a separation between GM and staff, or essentially the whole VIP GM deal if the community trusted the staff team to create quality events

It is obvious that they do not.

  2. When Casual was my XO I may have rushed him up there a little bit, but nonetheless.

I had always intended for casual to be my successor, and it looks like I get the chance to see what he will be like as a battalion commander. He has grown alot since he left me, and has returned to the 327th a very confident man.

I have full faith casual can pull this off +1

  3. I thoroughly support this application for many reasons

It hasn't been too many times that I've watched someone go all the way up from Private to Executive Officer, it's such a privilege to watch someone grow from a scared private to a very confident, and capable leader.

I believe Hiki will be able to bring a new age of prosperity for the battalion I hold so dear

  4. Rebellion. This is what this is.

You guys want boutineer gone, okay. That's fine. It's probably going to happen anyway at this point tbh. But consider what comes after he's gone.

It's the same group of people every time though, if you all want to "fix" base ops so badly, then do it.

But don't start complaining when you're sitting in the ashes of the war you started

  5. Okay. I hit enter way too early, Sorry about that.

    What is this?

I understand wanting to respond to the things you're accused of. I understand that more than anyone, but this? This looks like you swinging back. You attained the position of Director, which means you put in work and was actually competent enough to make it up high.

It isn't that people like Me, or Medic, or Egg, or even Fizzik ((all people who have been around here for a hella long time, or basically anyone from the IFN split)) want special treatment because of the titles we've carried or the positions we filled. It's the fact we have the experience to back up the words coming out of our mouths. I'll openly admit, I'm like an old man stuck in his ways. I'm still used to the corporate feel that Icefuse had, a well-oiled machine. It isn't like that here. That makes me itch sometimes.

"The biggest problem some legacy members have with me is quite simple; I don’t give them special treatment just because they have been here a long time or they held other positions once before.

It absolutely infuriates a lot of them that I do not treat them differently because they have been here a long time and held certain positions, that I don’t accept the fact that I should listen to them because of their once held positions

Because guess what, if you go into retirement cause you are burnt and expect people to favoritise/give you special treatment because of what you once were, don’t expect me to take that route, you can fuck right off there with that.

I could ruin quite a lot of the legacy members who have contacted me to bitch about things but that's not here or there."

What gets me about the quotes above is like I said up top. It looks like you're hitting back. Being in staff, and especially high staff is a card came. It's a strategy. Politics even. You making remarks such as this IMO, doesn't look good. Maybe that's just me but we're very different people, and this is a fire. This fire is burning very very bright. I would think after this, perhaps just look at how you respond to people. Yeah I get it, were all assholes sometimes. Who isnt? But just keep it in mind

  6. I was around before Regimentals even became a thing, but one of the most common themes I’ve seen over the years is that people get extremely bored about half way into their term, that or too much becomes expected of them and they quit due to pressure.

Personally, I’m gonna go with Ron here, while regimentals do have some uses, it’s more a filler rank than anything and takes away the authority and stature of being the BCMD of a battalion

Every reg wants to do sims, battles, trainings. Some actually do end up doing them but in the end it almost doesn’t make a different. They become bored anyway and burnt out
