Name: Kaiser Steam ID 64: 76561198253466298 Discord Username (Not Display Name): kaisertener Feedback Focus: New Map feedback Content: Writing this to hopefully be a thread for people to give feedback on the new map. I am 100% a fan and believe it opens the door for some huge potential down the road. Let's start with the main map guy: PrinceZay. From my understanding, this dude was accepted as a dev assistant on the 7th of January, with the new map releasing on the 18th. If it was just Zay doing the heavy lifting(we can infer this due to the map string having his name on it and personal anecdotes), then this project took 11 days. That is absolutely insane for the edits made to the map and how fast the turnaround was. No idea who else was involved or how many map testers/VA+ that got access to dev server to check it out for bug checks helped out, but if it was mainly Zay then the work he did in the short amount of time could rival some major map makers. Previous Corellia - The Good: Corellia had a lot of decent features on it that made it a good map. People loved to hate on it when we were there but once we left and cycled a bit, there was a genuine push from some community members to swap back. The interior of the base was awesome. Design was good, we had a load of normal sim rooms, brig was good, ER had its first "minigame" in years, and the overall vibe was awesome. The Jedi Temple was a damn temple, it had a huge cave, massive ceilings, unique designs with the rooms. The LAAT sim rooms/teleports were unique and the two VERY different atmospheres they held spiced up gameplay enough to make events, encounters, or tryouts interesting. Previous Corellia - The Okay: There were 2 small issues with the base design; location of the ER and the BCC buttons. Engine room could be explained as a valuable POI that if we were overrun, we would have to push back heavily to retake the ER. From a tactical point of mind, it made no sense to have engine room access as one of the first things in the base. The defcon buttons were placed in a weird count, and the alarm was WAYYY too loud. The slaver camp was just ripped right from the trandoshan slaver camp map with minimal effort put to an official Republic Outpost. The MUSIC from the Guild Hall and the Temple was loud af and got annoying p quick. That DAMN TREE OUTSIDE OF TEMPLE THAT VISUALLY BUGGED OUT EVERYDAY. Previous Corellia - The Bad: One of the biggest complaints I ever heard on Corellia was the outside terrain. It was awful. Dark and difficult to see, flat but tree covered on the river level and then nothing but plateaus above the base or on the cliffs. There was some serious texture lacking from the map as a whole and it made gameplay repetitive to a point where base attack number 523 was better than leaving the base for an mission. Using Coruscant and Illum to build and host events became the norm and the terrain outside was basically used just for patrols or quests. Parts of the map felt empty and lame and not worth engaging in. "New Corellia" - The Good: The terrain has been fixed and damn is it good. There are these natural paths that lead up to higher elevations, holes in the mountain sides, cliffs, new small buildings, etc. Any issue or complaint with the terrain previous has been improved by a mile and it is genuinely a better map. Lighting is better, skybox feels bigger too. The new replacement for Illum is awesome, the room is maybe 4-5x as big and sectioned off so people *could* host 4 tryouts at once in there. We kept the other sim rooms, Coruscant remained, and there aren't many changes to the interior of the base. The village location has been improved and the small Republic tower/armory there is a nice touch. Having the village and Guild Hall separate is good for what the Guild/civis are currently working on. I'm a huge fan of the slaver camp being moved and then adding the tree platforms in the Swamp over there. It adds for a potentially larger scale battlefield if you're retaking the camp and a slight change in terrain. Moving the Temple under the base allows for jedi and clones to easily interact with each other rather than needing to force leap across the entire map to get to base. "New Corellia" - The Okay: The undercroft of the Courtyard was a cool platform to have below the cliff base and I'm bummed it was removed. Nothing too important really but it was a nice layer to the base and it's disappointing to see it gone. Both the tower at the end of the main base ramp next to the crash site and the tower next to the village in the far corner are super lack luster, having another room inside or a staircase rather than an exterior ladder might have been cool. The village houses are just huts, I suppose that could work with the lore for the planet but in terms of RP at the village, there isn't a lot to do with the same size mud huts for homes. The crash site feels out of place for its location, and perhaps a different POI would work in that location, maybe similar to how Rakata had an expanded platform out past main gate? Perhaps move the crash site to a more secluded part of the map? "New Corellia" - The Bad: There's not a lot of glaring issues. I'd say the only 2 that really show up is the lack of effort put into the area above the base, it's just a small armory building and a comms tower prop. I don't know what could be there, but having those two things there just feels out of place and unnecessary. The rest is just flat that could use some terraforming. Also there isn't any "official" Republic Outpost, and I think that's pretty important for most of the base maps. If it's supposed to be the tower thing at village then it's too small, if it's supposed to the crash site then there's nothing really there, and if it's supposed to be the slaver camp then it's confusing. Perhaps it's supposed to be heavily contested. In summary, the revamped version is good and a much needed improvement to the old Corellia. Most Synergy and GMOD players know nothing about the ins and outs of map making, so my feedback is from someone who doesn't comprehend the effort involved. Banakin did a good job with the base and the temple for this map, and Zay seems to have expanded on it and heavily improved the outside terrain. There is A LOT more good than bad with the new version. If Zay did this in just 11 days then holy shit this is awesome. Guy crushed it as his first "project" for Synergy. SO to anyone else that helped or did any work for this map, I hope we stay here for a bit.

  3. Hello! After receiving a clip of the situation, I can say with certainty two things 1. Lofi made a couple mistakes in how he handled the situation though some of which can be contributed to the situation becoming heated by your own actions. These actions include not conducting a sit in the staff room and becoming heated himself. For this I will speak to him and ensure he understands his mistakes and that they don't happen again 2. You absolutely could and should have been arrested for power gaming. The issue evolved from an out of character action from a separate player and pushed on several players who were not involved and were at the time conducting a recruitment in TS. While the server is absolutely (albeit slowly) pushing towards more RP in the server, this does not grant you the ability to push RP onto players who are not engaged in said RP and are in fact conducting OOC actions especially if they are asking you to leave them be. doing so is power gaming which is an arrest after one warning*. You had clearly been given several warnings beyond a singular warning. * https://docs.google.com/document/d/1N43HYMMhszrUMHhgwe7GUp_YRvRx4DLSp2Ez474N-rs/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.wzwnth92g3fe (Synergy Rulebook Section C, 9-a Conclusion: You are both in the wrong here. Lofi will be reminded of staff sit rules and in the future you need to remember the difference between in character actions to a singular player and pushing RP on uninvolved players

  9. I regret to inform that I will be making a staff report on Lofi. I will start from the begging. I was running around base due to the fact it was Acers send off deployment as Governor for his first term. I went over to see what was CG doing due to the fact there was a bunch of CG that was there. I waited in the lobby area as Captain of the Guard Saul to ask what they were doing. One of the CG told me they were doing a tryout so I was about to walk away to not to disturb them. I then had a baby prop thrown at my face by Lord Osiris. I told them that is concerning since it's a baby. Not only that I wasn't sure if it wasn't real or not since I am trying to serious RP on the matter. Fox did warn me about a arrest or kill if I came back but I thought since we have done RP situation like this with investigations and protest that this could lead into some passive RP. Not only that like I said before I know we are trying to go back to serious RP so having a baby thrown at my face is not serious. I then took the Baby as proof to a bunch of clones and Jedi Master Plo Koon. I asked Jedi Master Plo Koon if he could check in the force ( do a roll) if it was real. He in fact rolled a 87 and said it was real. I waited in the brig lobby area with the baby while a high ranking clone (can't remember the name) went in to talk with CG; at this time I think it was Lofi. Lofi tells me that Fox due his authority he can kick people out of brig area. He told me this to me by pointing the sign outside of brig as if I had never seen it before. I know this due to being a Navy Jedi and Gamemaster. I just wanted to ask and see why a baby was thrown at my face and if that is considered failrp. He told me instead to make a CG report without hearing my issue at hand with a simple yes or no answer. I informed him that Jedi Master Plo Koon did a roll on the baby to see if it was alive; I even told him that it was a 87 and said it was. He says that doesn't matter since he said that was metagaming since they were not present. Like I said before whether it be with Saul or Achilles I do investigations that entitles a lot of back work of looking into things without certain people present (an example of this would be my navy report/entertainment called "Who Shot First?"). I tried to talk to talk to Lofi but he kept saying I was wrong while not addressing my main point on if this would be considered Fail rp to throw a baby in his face. In fact Lord Osiris ran up to Lofi to explain the situation to him as he was the original one who actually threw the baby at me. Instead Lofi used his physgun to pick up Lord Osiris and throw him inside of Brig while not hearing his side of the story at all; even though he was the one who threw the baby. He told me you have been warned and said you can't cry about it like a baby if CG arrests or kills you. Lofi then said he would bring me to a private room where he would tell me the situation there. We went to the private room on the map. This was the same thing only worse as Lofi didn't hear any reports on the matter. He just kept saying that I should know better. Keep in mind this entire incident was just warnings and not an actual arrest. Overall I don't think it was handled professionally on Lofi part but I was going to leave it off there and just ignore Brig all together for the time being. I then saw Adam (Yoboyjesus) was on as mayor. I teleported to him as my guardsmen but asked him if we can talk privately in DB since no one was there; since he was outside of brig but near the DB room. I then told him what happened in game on how if he does anything RP wise in brig I will just ignore it due the fact I was threatened with arrest or death. Adam told me for the time being that I would get demoted from Governors Guard. I wanted to talk to him about this more since the last time we talked it was in teamspeak the night before for at least a half hour on how we could improve not only guardsmen but civilian overall. I don't want to get off topic since this report is not on Adam; but the overall interaction leading to me getting demoted from my position as Captain of The Guard with Lofi has led to my demotion without an actual arrest being present. In the hand book for guard it says "If Arrested for a legitimate rule-breaking offense" but no arrest was present. Still it does say "The Mayor and the Governor have final say" so I will say Adam was just doing his job as mayor and was put in the middle of a situation. Still, with the way Lofi handled it and on top of that to get me demoted from guard is highly unprofessional. He never told me in the meeting we last had, in the private admin room on the server, he would try to get me demoted from the guard but his actions led to this point. In the end even if I am allowed back into guard I will decline the position all together. I love Guardsmen since I have been with the faction for since the beginning; however the way this whole situation was treated I feel like I was talked to as if I was a child. We are all adults or mature people due to the fact this is a military RP server set in the star wars universe. I know we are going back to serious RP and I want to try and bring that back to the forefront. In the end to be called by a senior staff a baby when a literal baby prop is thrown at my face and tells me I am supposed to ignore it is not setting the standard we are trying to enforce on the server now and in the future. Thank you for reading and have a good day.
