  1. Name: Pack
    Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:61261438
    Ban Reason: Community ban list
    Date of Ban: 8/15/2021
    Length of Ban: Permanent
    Staff Member(s) Involved: Don't know
Reason(s) why we should accept your appeal: It was over 2 years ago, and I don't even remember what I did. If a staff member who was involved would like to shine some light on the situation, I might be able to remember but I honestly have no idea. I used to play this server quite frequently and enjoyed it a lot during lockdown. I'd like to come play again.

    • Poor map choice
I feel like the map was way to small and closed off for the amount of SOBDE we had. There was little to no room for creativity and complex planning. While there were a couple of entrances to the area we were supposed to infiltrate, you limited us to only one tight ass corridor that lead the event to be a complete meat grinder rather than much roleplay.
    • Lack of proper roleplay on all sides
The improper roleplay during the event annoyed me quite a lot and made it almost completely unenjoyable for me. Half the time the droids and other members of SOBDE were just joking with each other and talking as if they aren't KOS to each other. Both SOBDE and CIS were disobeying the life limit and constantly just running back to base or respawning on tacs and making it a PvP event.
    • Overall confusion
I don't know if it was just me but the planning and briefing were confusing as fuck and I was pretty much clueless on what we were meant to do. We were told the mission was to destroy a prototype, then to tail some droids, then to get captured and it was just a mess. However, I don't think the GM planned for the amount of SOBDE we had so that's understandable. There were so many factors that could've been improved but these are just a few that I thought were most important.

I liked the planet hopping for the event and constantly having to collect information, however I feel like it could have been a bit more challenging and you could have incorporated more RP tactics (EOD, Tech, Med, ETC.)

I think you did really well with what you were working with. The NPC's were kinda OP, but it's the compromise you gotta make for nobody wanting to help with deployments. I enjoyed how you let us develop our own plans, and tried to compensate for it as best as possible. Did the best they could for the numbers they had.

It was short but I had a good time running around with the others. With that being said, I'd still prefer to deploy on Bardan for something Star Wars related. I've never played Mass Effect so I was a bit confused.

Pretty much agree with what Foxey says, I would've rather deployed as Null considering we had a decent amount of us on at the time and rarely get deployments. Story was ok and no real RP besides joking around as our characters, but that's not something the GM could control. I see how others may have had fun with this event, it was funny but just not something I enjoy personally.

Event was really great, I loved the gunship bombing of the bridge at the very end. GM's coordinated each battalion very well and made us feel pretty necessary towards the mission. Some EOD/Tech RP could've been used to take down the rayshield rather than just shooting it would've been nice. I also feel like some CIS vehicles would've been nice to fight against. Don't forget the great voice acting and roleplay by Shockpoint.

  7. Thought I'd make this since I've been getting asked who I am a lot recently. I just joined Null as A'den, previously I was 212th SGT Pack. I'm still relatively new to the server, having just joined a little over a month ago. However, I've been playing SWRP for about six years now with almost 10,000 hours on Garry's Mod. Also a 17 year old teen parent.

  8. 8/10 Enjoyed the combat and stealth part of that event, however I believe the briefing could have been conducted and explained a bit better. If you also added a little bit more RP aspects for us to take on then it would have been a 10/10 from me. Map choice was perfect, especially for a stealth op with the vents, ridges, mountains, etc. EJ's complied well and were relatively challenging to face for the squad.
