    You will use the command "!arlog" and write the report, it will then format and send out your arrest as an Advert. When it is done, the arrest will be uploaded to the central arrest database that will then notify commanders and officers of battalions that their troopers were arrested.

    That being said most discord bots are currently reliant on the shock arrest log google sheet so unless we maintain both this new !arlog and the old spreadsheet it will be hard for commanders to easily be notified of arrests.

    If we maintain both I will give it a +1.

    I'm looking into a way that I can link it to that, but if my system goes in the direction I want it to there will be no need for discord bots, commanders and officers will have an in game notification telling them when, and why the troopers from their battalion were arrested. If it's the consensus of the community that they would prefer to stick to the arrest alert system we have now I can model the addon to fit that need.

    On a side note. 
    Can it notify people who've been arrested on a whitelist/battalion to make it easier for Officers in a battalion to use the command and see if their troopers been a bad boy?

    Cause if so that'll save a lot of people time from searching Shocks spreadsheets and making bots to notify the battalions  when someone can just run a command. 

    I will absolutely look into that, thanks for the suggestion :)

    Hi everyone, not sure if I'm allowed to do this but I might as well shoot my shot. Some of you may remember me, most of you probably don't. I was a staff member on Icefuse a few years back and switched over to Synergy the day the community was made. What many of you may not know about me is that for the last two-three years I have been studying Computer Science. When thinking of a new language I would like to learn one of the first things that popped in my mind was GMOD and this server in general. As great as the server is there are many issues that I want to help resolve, mainly streamlining and overhauling existing systems. One of the systems I thought of was the current arrest system. My new system will give Shock Troopers / Temple Guard a simple command to gather info on the arrested player, write a report on the arrested player, and make the job more efficient and accurate. It all works through a simple and easy to understand GUI. 

    TLDR:

    I'm an old player wanting to start developing GMOD addons and I have one that I think would be perfect for the server. It will make writing arrest reports a lot easier. 

    Implementation: Simple as typing a command, can be fully optional for Shock/TG if they chose to continue to write reports the old fashion way.
