Wasnt there but I was writing about cell theory, (In 1847 botanist Jakob Mathias Schleiden, and the zoologist Theodor Schwann proclaimed their cell theory, in which cells were the basic units from which all living tissues were constructed. At this point the theory could thus be understood in many different ways, but in 1855 another German, the embryologist Robert Remak, showed that, in the early stages of growth, cells are formed by a process of division apparently initiated in the nucleus.)
