Bacta-Objectives

Suggestion: Add global objectives that can be set by gamemasters on the server
RP Rank: BCMD of the 6th sky corps

Implementation: Add a command for GMs to add "global objectives" which would appear on the HUD of people on the server while active. This could be done in a variety of ways, giving GMs the option to change the name, description, and completion status of the objectives with commands, either way they would definitely make it a lot easier for players to keep track of things that are communicated by GMs during an event at any point. Whether a player joins late, didn't pay attention to the briefing or the GM just gave way to much information in the briefing for you to concentrate on what's important, being able to readily see what they have designated as "objectives" can only be an improvement

It can be on the top of the screen and have it, this can help alot with events outlines and in general would be a excellent addition to events that wont be confusing

Only thing is that some people not participating in an event for lets say ARC training, will have a tough time looking through an objective visually whilst still participating. Maybe an opt-out option somewhere would help.

This would be mainly an event server feature

If I was going to implement this it would look something like this (these wireframes are ugly they wouldn't be this ugly in the actual game)


It would start in a collapsed state and when a new order is sent from the gamemaster (via some chat command or custom text field)
an alert like the one below would show up so it wouldn't be super intrusive and if say this was happening on main and you weren't involved you could ignore it

Then when you click the arrow it will open to show this

This will show the objectives (past and the current one) and will remain open for some period of time (call it 5 - 10 seconds) before auto closing (or you could manually close it via the arrow button


I am also working on something that might solve this problem already but no promises it will actually end up on the server since it will have to go through the review process.
