Jesus christ this community and wanting to change maps. Could this map be better, sure the trees float in some places and the base is a little to big to our server pop.

BUT HOLY FUCK does this map have so much for us, 4 great planets, the best temple i've ever seen, a full main base with a extensive skybox for flight. Like name a map that does more then this one does, try and find one, please. Of course this place could get better, but no other map that i've ever been on or seen provides as much possibilities and variation as this one.

I think every map we have ever had as a main map for a period of time had thier Quirks. A lot of pros and a lot of cons. We keep changing maps because not everyone is satisfied. Try though you might, not everyone will be.

 

I personally enjoyed my time on Endor...

Although i love endor, the map file is corrupted from what i understand. Anyways, conrad is correct, we have a lot of potential where we are currently. Please don't start up another goddamn main map debate so soon...

It’s not that people are satisfied, it’s like with literally every other game. If you’re consistently playing the same thing over and over again people get bored and want change. It doesn’t matter how good of a map people are given it’s always gonna happen and people are always upset when it does happen. Which is why people have suggested cycles, map changes, and totally different maps to play. Most people usually say oh that’s why we have event server to experience those different maps but it does not really help because you’re only the event server for maybe a few hours VS the hundreds of hours you’ll play on the main one. With some actual criticism the actual base within Anaxes has such a basic layout that you have there’s only like two main routes that are taken which is why there’s not much variety on events and such. I’ve already talked to people and we’re really unlikely to get a map change and the most you should expect is a cycle.

Honestly heres my take on changing maps and a lot of major things, so i already have been doing shit on sandbox and i would say you're already capable of starting development on it, i would say founders should honestly just not even bother with adding more major things to the server cause honestly if the server stays on GMod its just going to die off and i know for a fact a good portion of the community here will prob flock to another community on sandbox cause like i said theres already people doing shit for the game and from the looks of it i dont know if anything is being for it, but i'd reccomend hopping on the dev train for sandbox. So sure change the map, but dont go out of your way and get a new one when, and if no one has a key out of the devs heres than i guess thats reason to why they aint doing anything with it

I joined right before extensive and was blown away with the fact that you could literally use the hyper drive to go to another location. It had it's amazing immersion. If we could add that map or something similar to Anaxes, that would be awesome. However I don't build maps and could see it making the file bigger and more harder on Gmod or peoples computers. (Not everyone has a 3070). I personally enjoyed endor like Maverick was stating. The size was a big difference than extensive and huge skybox. 

Anaxes has its pros and cons, don't get me wrong, but I rather stay where we are right now. It has a decent size Skybox and many cool planets to go to.

To throw my two cents in, personally I'd be in favor of a map change. Idk why there's so much controversy about not being satisfied because yeah, that's the point. Change is good. I'm not advocating for going to titan or something and sticking there permanently, but a change every now and then on such a large scale really helps to spice things up and make them less stale. Maybe there's something I'm missing dev-wise, but a map change every half a year or so at least seems like the move.

Well this map is new for me since I've taken a break from cwrp for scp it's been good fun for me. I don't see the problems for now with it.
