My PC very bad. Reccomendations?

My PC is not very good! It is a hand me down pre-built office computer. The best part in it is a 1060 6GB but the rest is really bad.
I was curious on if anyone had budget builds or recommendations for a bang for your buck machine that can play most games on low-medium settings. I don't have lots of money so the cheaper the better :-)

I'm looking for recommendations for a PC in the 500 - 1000 CAD pricerange as I already know what PC I would build if I had a lot of money but idk what a good one at a lower price would be.

Go to Micro Center if Canada has it then have them put the specs you need together and then build it yourself or have them build it for a fee, if not then idk what to tell you.

Unfortunately we don't. The nearest one to me is in Detroit.
