Deaf Video - Hit me in the feelz.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, something a bit personal I'm throwing up here. I just saw this video because it was trending and I felt like sharing it, it's pretty fucking awesome and wholesome. I had/have a few deaf friends and know a few people who know sign, so this kind of hit me hard in the feels.

Take a look if you feel like it, totally get it if this kind of stuff ain't your cup of tea.

I know the alphabet in sign language, but not the whole like hand motions.

That's cool bro, when I get some time I should learn a bit myself

Good video, my girlfriend knows ASL even though she's not deaf, so I can appreciate this initiative.

That's wicked and really cool of your GF. One of my good friends knows ASL due to both of her parents being dead. Shits cool man. The initiative in the video just blew me away and it's amazing to see possibilities open up now for deaf communities.

I have 2 deaf/hearing impaired customers that come in to my place of work every now and then. I always feel so bad that they have write/type things out for me in order to communicate and I wish I knew more ASL so that I could better communicate with them. Currently, my understanding is quite basic. I know most of the alphabet if I remember right, the obvious hand wave for hello and goodbye, motioning to ask if they'd like a glass for a drink, thank you, and you're welcome. I only wish I knew more than that. Because I always see a great big smile on their faces when they come in for lunch that I return back.
