Date of Ban: August 6th, 2020 (8 months and 20 days ago from day of posting appeal) Length of Ban: Permanent Staff Member(s) Involved: Freck/Anderson (Directors at the time) Reason(s) why we should accept your appeal: Backstory for the people who do not know at all: There was a situation going on where myself and a very small group of individuals did not agree with how a certain battalion was run. This came from us being opinionated and believing we could do better ourselves and have improvements. We did trash talk them in a separate discord and a part of that group were making a commander report with the ultimate goal of getting the command out of their positions, and getting someone else in. One day Freck & Anderson (the directors) pulled me in a channel and asked about it which led to everyone getting dragged in, the story being told, and ultimately us getting banned at the discretion of the directors. This was in-game, in TeamSpeak, and on the Forums. I do believe that some have been unbanned already, but this all was a toxic and dramatic happening that could’ve been avoided. Quite honestly, I have changed. That may be hard to accept for people, maybe forever, maybe not. But I have. In the time I have not been on the server I have mostly been working on myself, and even if it is self-proclaimed, lost toxicity towards people as a whole. The ban was quite a while ago and I accepted that. Even if I found that it was blown out of proportion (with the forum post at the time as well), I won’t deny that there was toxicity and drama I was part of at the time. In the time I have been banned and thus could not get on the server, TeamSpeak, and the forums I believe I have changed enough. Obviously, words are words and nothing is proven till it turns into action. I do not have a lot to say here other than that I have actually changed. In this meantime I have stepped away from GMod as a whole except for April 22nd to check the ban reasoning again. Hello there, so basically i've noticed a lot of things recently when it comes to staff, and all in all, it seems like staff is no offense, but in a bad place due to the shit ton of resignations coming in and not having enough people to keep up with people resigning and when i look at all this i can't help, but to think the reason for all of the people leaving staff is favoratism. Let me explain So basically there have been mutiple people who've put in the work and gotten basically nowhere cause either you're liked or disliked by people above you and well if you dont get anywhere you're not going to be motivated so of course promotions are going to be heavily based off of someones personal opinion on a person and you can say oh no its not all you want, but it is at the end of the day. Now we move onto people who do nothing and get positons and of course ima have to give examples, get mad if you wish and if not good for you. So i'd say a very very good example of this is Crimson, i personally dont know if he actually does work with staff, but lets start off with this, So he gets SA without applying for staff and yes to my understanding, palpy gets staff, but once his term is over, i found it odd that he kept it, so here comes the fun part, im not aware of him applying for the GM team or doing TR work if he does than whoopsys on me, but regardless i cant be the only one to think so we got someone, who never applied for staff, from my knowledge never applied for GM or became a TR and he somehow got director. So basically, were just all prob going to be BS by oH hE dId gOoD wOrK, yet nothing shows where he did that work, which from an outside view this just looks like hella bias towards him and i mean i would say it is unfair towards those who are activily putting in the effort to get to a higher positions specifically the HAs at the time who were there prior and got to where they are by normal means and they get shit on like that. like come at me and say this wasn't motivated by personal bias, but its kind of hard to explain all of this, its almost like the position got handed to him, anyways besides that, there are obvious patterns in leadership for most staff programs, TR i wont say much cause TR its fine due to the fact that it can run itself easily, but GM, there are new GM officers and managers here and there, but it always come down to people who were in these positions in the past are now in the position again and are basically rotated back into the position because they were it in the past like i said, and at this point this rotation of people seems to just be a terrible idea due to the fact that most of them are burnt out, and once again slap me with the theres no bias involved, but its obvious when the same people get the same positions and put in less work when others are working their asses off for the spot, and a good example of this is chumbus, this mans has worked non stop in GM for a higher spot and hes got it, but it should be people like this who are put in charge, not those who have prievous exp and are going to half ass lead the team and im not saying the current lead shockpoint is bad, but im just saying over the time since i was staff and till now somewhat its just old people getting easy positions. and now i come to the conclusion that basically we always get told shit is based off of favoratism and instead based off their work ethic, but in the end, its not and its obvious to many people who just dont want to put in work for stuff that they aren't recongnized for and instead shit on by someone else. I mean dumb me all you want, but the favoratism in this server is beyond me and once again i already know half of yall are going to be like oh no its not, but in reality it is, and as much as i wish i didnt have to point it out, someone has to, cause i mean if this continues many people will be driven away from the server. Also another point is the double standards in the server, heres a good example, so we got a man who goes by the name heart who kills a shit load of people and gets in trouble for it and it was also on the ES and yeah i know he mostly got fucked cause of how he reacted, but in a way its just fucked that he even got in trouble for it, we got people mostly directors+ giving minges weapons to continue to rule break and join in themselevs sometimes and fuck around non stop till the point where its annoying and we cant do anything about it, but if anyone else does it, they will get instantly fucked because why not they broke the rules, yes i understand they're a lot higher and for some reason above the rules, but that just sets up a terrible example of how unfair punishment is depending on who you are and honestly its stupid. And i would say most of the time the person who is minging who is higher than everyone else when they get AOSed they just release themself and continue to minge and get mad when they get arrested and you know who you are so i wont say who it is. Anyways theres my piece of cake on the staff in general and the server somewhat, and im prob not the only who thinks this, but if i am, i do have brain damage from when i was a child TLDR: Favortism rules staff, Double standards in the server, wee tiny staff member minges he gets fucked any Director+ minges or management+ minges, i break myself out of jail and throw a hissy fit when im arrested by CG

+1 I think that you've improved quite a bit over time, but you need to make some decisions on what you want to prioritize on the server, you've been in and out of staff quite a few times from my understanding

Oh boy, did I take a wonderful trip down memory lane while getting everything together for this post. (P.S. thank you, super cool idea for a post, I'm so glad to have rediscovered my love for some of these soundtracks). Anywho, my list is as follows: I used to play this game all the time growing up and hearing the music just take me back to staying in while it was raining outside and pouring my entire afternoon into this amazing game. I love the entire soundtrack, but the Overworld Theme (4:05 on the Video) is beautifully perfect. Another classic thing I used to play as a kid, it was one of the other SNES things we had downloaded on our computer. I don't remember much about playing this game, but I remember having a blast and enjoying the music. The main theme is awesome (00:08 on the Video). Super Mario Galaxy was a game that I loved growing up, partially because of the music. I mean I'd leave this game running and just let it play. Absolutely fantastic. Into the Galaxy (10:33 on the Video) is my favorite by far, but everything in here is pretty cool. Wii was awesome, it was a game that you'd play with friends, family, I mean I don't know anyone who hasn't played Wii Sports. The Title Screen Theme (00:05 on the Video) might not be the best thing out there, but it's certainly a classic. Wii Shop Theme is a close second to this for me, but I won't list it here. Stronghold is one of the lesser known games, but Stronghold, Stronghold Crusader, and Stronghold Legends were my first introduction to Strategy Games, which I absolutely love. I highly recommend the Crusader and Legends soundtracks as well, but I think everything from the original game's soundtrack is a banger. Matt's Jig (21:52 on the Video) is pretty epic. I'd be surprised if anyone disagreed with this... Vode An is simply amazing. That's all that needs to be said. Red Alert is popular partially for its Soundtrack all by itself, and it's no surprise. This soundtrack is awesome. I mean, Hell March (00:00 on the Video) is amazing. I don't remember much about this, mostly because I played Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars the most as opposed to the Red Alert games, but this soundtrack stands out to me as awesome. Need I say more? Medal of Honor holds a very special place in my heart, alongside the original Call of Duty games. They were games my Grandfather played when I was younger, and they were games that I picked up fairly quickly. Medal of Honor was unique, they were amazing games with stories and mechanics that revolutionized the shooter industry. E.A. totally ruined this franchise and it's heartbreaking that these games are dead now, but their soundtracks still stand out to me as simply beautiful. These songs just ignite my passion for history in a way that not much other music can. For the original game, I love the main theme (00:00 on the Video) and for Pacific Assault I love the Classic Theme (2:15 on the Video). Much like Super Mario Galaxy, I'd just leave these games running and listen to the music.

Well there’s a big difference between in game and in Teamspeak in a locked channel, which is where if anything is dropped is where it happens and that’s usually if we are playing another game and most of my soundboards don’t even have the n word else than some kid yelling. As well, racist tendencies would most likely be something that would get me in trouble and as far as I know I have never been in trouble or banned for racist tendencies else than the one time where I came into a Chanel with a picture of black squid ward when everything with the commander report with Dennis happened and I didn’t even get in trouble for that necessarily As well, if this were the case someone would’ve reported me or any of my friends which as far as I heard or seen no one has, and if you knew all this I’d assume you’d report me so yeah To add on, I’d had one time of me showing that I used selective enforcement, that was when Brooklyn MRDM, I was one of the staff that witnessed what happened and was apart of it and I didn’t ban him mostly cause I saw no one had an issue and nor did I want to ban him cause someone else could do it besides me and overall situation was retarded in regards to soundboard spam which if I’m assuming correctly you’re talking about the 104th, id say me and a good portion of the 104th cut down on soundboards for a while now just to not drive away new people.

He would never punish his friends for dropping the N word, but as staff that would be his duty. And hes just overall toxic because of those things. To be honest I would of +1 if the application was longer because if it was anyone else for example say me, it would be -1 but just because you served a previous term doesnt mean you have to write down your app in less then 15 minutes it should take 3 hours minimum for going as something as big as yoda. Although I am not very active on the server anymore I would like to share my opinion plus if what Cloud said was true by you promoting your friends all up to council then thats just terrible for the people who want to actually progress through the order and actually get to a master rank at the very minimum. Favoritism will always be a thing. Nothing you or us can do about it. It sucks but that’s just how it is. I’ve seen hella people burn out because people jump ranks and what not. But I digress. I feel the high staff team has promoted too many people based off “necessity” instead of the people’s actual knowledge and experience.

It’s because there is a lot of things that can go into a decision that doesn’t need to be public knowledge. If you want to know why a decision was made you can always ask, in my experience @Jadis very good at explaining the reasons behind decisions made by the founders. Follow CoC of course Edit: forgot to say this but, in my time back they’ve been pretty open about the decisions they have made. Of course this doesn’t mean you have to agree with them but I digress.
