I’m not a big fan of them. Can make the game feel like a job for a lot of people and often actually ends up decreasing activity. From what I’ve seen a lot of the groups that have activity quotas are the ones that struggle the most to have consistent activity. The only time that I think it’s helpful is in groups that are small enough that there is not a way to effectively monitor activity due to time zones etc. Most of these activity quotas also are based off of only time played, but in my opinion activity isn’t just logging on and staring at a wall for 4 hours. I’d much rather someone play for 1 or 2 hours and actively contribute and engage with the community. Overall, I’ve never been in an group that has activity quotas but I’ve certainly seen the problems associated with them

I think I'm pretty good at teaching people stuff and I like the feel you get when helping people. For me I can't just get on the server and not do something, it gets really boring when you do that and staff would be a very good itch for that. Something that I really feel passionate about is the events and I feel I can do more good then harm to server for the events. I've been making a lot dupes, I've been taking the server a lot more serious recently and that's one of the reasons why I want to become staff. Overall I think I would really like the feel of staffing, honestly it's kind of hard coming up with stuff to say here but, I just feel like I have good attitude, willingness to learn and will be pretty serious about staff. Tell us a little about yourself (3 sentence minimum): I'm a Heavy Officer for the 212th Attack Battalion, I rejoined the server 02/28/2021 and I have been pretty active recently. I originally joined the server in 2019 back on Titan base as a medic but my PC broke so I had to quit. I originally wanted to be a medic again when I was rejoining but I heard they removed defibs so I picked heavy instead. Do you have any previous staff experience? If yes, please elaborate on what you have accomplished: I was Co-Owner of a DarkRP server called Fallen legacy, I was Senior Staff on a SWRP server called Polar Networks, and I was a Mod on a bunch of other servers that Died. Honestly the last time I was staff I was probably like 12 or something, and most of my staff experience is on server's hosted by my friends so I don't really think it represents modern day me. How many hours of in game time do you currently have on our Clone Wars server?: 512 hours

I don't think Sign-ins are bad but quotas from those sign-ins are dumb. I think Activity Quotas make the game like a job as others have said but a sign-in system just gives others the knowledge of when you were on in a certain amount of days which is not bad if used correctly.

Can't speak super much to your work ethic, but we have had loads of interactions together. Everyone has been great i always enjoy talking to you man. And at the end of the day i think that one of the most important characteristics for a REG, being able to talk and interact with the people below you on a personal level. -1 Okay, there are a lot of issues with this. I, as a LTC in 212th that has been in the battalion since late June of last year, know barely anything about you. I only know a few things about you. One, you do occasional intel work. Two, you do occasional disciplinary work. Three, you occasionally unmute your microphone to insult someone as a joke, then mute yourself. I have no clue what else you do or what type of person you are because you are not active. And when you are active for about an hour a night, you do the things I've already mentioned, or place down the 2ndAC tryout dupe if someone hosts it. You don't talk or interact with the battalion at all. Every single person in the battalion knew Pog was running for Cody. In several Officer meetings, it was brought up who planned on running for Cody to avoid any conflict. If two or more people were running, that would be O.K. because there wouldn't be any drama about it. Pog was the only person to speak up and we all support him. I have no clue what you are doing with this man. Every single issue you brought, you have not made this aware at all to the rest of the battalion. Just as an example, you say 2ndAC is struggling, but you haven't done anything to "fix" 2ndAC. I, as the 2ndAC Commander, have no fucking clue what you're talking about. That's kind of a problem. You can become a 2ndACS and host tryouts, host trainings, do SOMETHING. I'm sorry if this is harsh, you seem like a decent person, but I thought this application was posted in Off Topic. You are the last person I suspected to run for Cody, so you subverted my expectations for sure if it means anything.

-1 Before i say anything I am writing this comment with love Zen since meeting you you have been a top guy and been great talking to my problem comes into play my entire time in the battalion virtually no one knows you Zen, its been a meme with the officer core that know one knows you at all in the battalion. You don't interact with the battalion nearly enough for you to know what's going on most of the time with each person in the battalion with this your input in most chats have been very minimal, with your input in officer meetings and what your bringing to the table has been very little

Here we go, in complete honesty one of my biggest reasons for becoming Cody initially was because I didn't feel pog was ready at the time. He was a people pleaser and constantly advocated for the addition to things into the battalion. This came with a draw back, he would advocate for things he didnt entirely understand and didnt have as much experience in. That could lead to confusion and later frustration when we denied suggestions along those guidelines This isnt in any way me disrespecting pog in any way but more of saying how much he grew. During my term he changed by looking at things at every angle possible to get the full picture and would give his opinion about the topic. Overall, his communication skills are on point, dedication is above anyone else's ive seen, and his overall attitude is always positive. There's no one else in this battalion that I could see myself handing over the mantle to other than Pog. With that being said +1

After the talk I've had with Cyan, I can tell that he wants to help SOBDE, that he has improved. I hope that things go in the direction he wants them to, and I hope things go well for SOBDE with him in charge. +1

The most anticipated application for me. This dude came all the way from the bottom. Private to Commander. Grinded his way up, and is now one of the most respected people in the battalion. I think you'll do a great job, provided you stay on top of things and make sure you're making changes to benefit not only the current playerbase, but the future playerbase as well. +1.

I think you're a great guy who can be a little toxic, but no one is perfect and I think it won't hinder your leadership skills. You got vision, you got plans, you've got the gall. SOBDE's support is a clear sign you're the man for the job. +1, you are competent, devoted, and are exactly what SOBDE needs in the coming times. You are the best current candidate so I give you my full support.

+1 I trust Cyan. Here is why. 1. Cyan directly came to me about many different ideas and thoughts he has. He explained these ideas and thoughts in many different ways providing many examples and giving many options. This shows he can actually communicate and is willing to tell people whats going on. 2. Cyan's ideas are all intended for big SO BDE changes. All of the changes will benefit SO BDE in a positive way and I feel Cyan can roll them out quickly and well. 3. Cyan will likely be REG for a full term and therefore will actually be able to do all the plans. The last regimentals (god bless their soul) went to pursue higher positions before completing their goals and their full term. Cyan, I think, will likely be staying as REG for a term. I trust him and so should you.

There is much to be repaired and lots of work to do. You've got a large task to deal with and an even bigger battalion to keep happy. It's a large task with a lot of responsibility tied to it. I can't see anyone more fit to hold the position, currently. You're a great leader, one who I think can lead to 212th in a good direction. You must remember to think for yourself and be strong in your own ideas while not being afraid to adopt the ideas of others. Great your own legacy and make changes which will have you remembered, the only way to be remembered as a good Cody is to do the work it requires to be written down. Lastly, don't let pressure get to you. People see you as a great leader & someone to listen to but that in no way means you've to do it alone. Utilise your whole battalion & make sure you're not doing all the work. These are some monumental expectations people have for you so try to remain the same. Keep down to earth, remain apart of your battalion/officer corps and you should be good to go. You'll do great, kid +1

Pog my boy, I realized during the waning days as a 212th member that you deserved cody far more than me. I believe you will be able to uphold the standards and have 212th continue to be the best battalion on the server. With that being said, I have seen an issue, time and time again of a lack of prioritization from HC. I attempted to assist in every way I could but I'd like to urge you as BCMD to ensure that the importance of issues is looked at before pursuing them. Good luck.

+1, during the past 4 months of being in the 212th and working alongside Pog, I can tell you that without a doubt he is one of the hardest working members in the community and truly has the drive and passion to hold this position and do great things in the 212th and nobody is more deserving of this position than him.

-1 Despite me wishing I could undo some stuff in the past, I've resigned to the idea that shit happens. Sometimes you have a bad day, sometimes you don't communicate things properly, and sometimes people just disagree with you. This community is filled with very forgiving people, and despite the fact that they get pissed off at each other, in the end, everyone usually realizes that humans are gonna human.

Could there be a way that Forum Mods can see the logs just like they can see edits? I think that would remove the majority of those issues. And someone could still be punished for something they deleted, but it just won't be public anymore
